Former Maryland center Alex Len underwent surgery on Friday to repair a partial stress fracture in his left ankle and will be out of basketball action for four-to six months....
Many mock drafts had Len projected to be selected within the first seven picks, but the surgery now leaves some doubt where he will be selected. Len will not be able to work out for teams and he could miss the start of next season.
If Noel and Porter end up being gone by the time we pick, that could leave us with a shit salad of Shabazz, Zeller 2, Oladipo (who I actually like as something like the second coming of Iggy, but it will depend on if he measures out tall enough to play SF in most of our lineups), and Bennett (a tweener that I don't know fits on this team, bc I don't think he can play the 3).
Now, I don't like Len with our lottery pick, but if Noel and Porter are both gone, I could be ok with the pick, especially if he was playing with the stress fracture all year. If Len starts to free fall and is available with our pick at 19, I think it would probably be the steal of the draft.
