I try very hard not to get too upset during the course of a season.

But hitting into an inning ending DP with the bases loaded makes me want to start choking people.

Aaarrghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not only that, but Stubbs was on second with one out and back-to-back singles loaded the bases. Then, of course, the inevitable happened. Classic Indians baseball.
Bottom 4th: Cleveland
- J. Kipnis grounded out to shortstop
- A. Cabrera doubled to deep left
- N. Swisher doubled to center, A. Cabrera scored
- J. Giambi doubled to deep right center, N. Swisher to third, N. Swisher out at home
- J. Giambi caught stealing, catcher to third

1 run, 3 hits, 0 errors

The lack of offense this year has been frustrating. Bourn being out with an injury is huge because Brantley hasn't been productive in the leadoff spot, same as last year. I swear somebody told him that when he's hitting leadoff he's not allowed to swing the bat until he has two strikes on him. Which means he's always in the hole.

At least yesterday he started to get more aggressive at the plate and had a double and triple.

Now that Reynolds has cooled off they need Droobs, Kipnis, Brantley and Chiz to get going. I'm seeing signs they're snapping out of it.

Very encouraging performance by Kazmir. The guy was throwing 92-93 and getting a lot of swings and misses on his fastball. His only runs came on a fluke home run off a pitch that was way out of the strike zone. Kazmir said he's never seen a home run off a pitch that far out of the zone.

Still, he should never have walked Francoeur to lead off the inning. Then Rich Hill walks a left-handed hitter with the bases loaded. Two of the Royals three runs came on walks.

Swisher picked a good pitch to hit and ripped a line drive. Unfortunately it was right at the second baseman.

In his previous at-bat he got jammed and blooped a single over the 3rd baseman's head. That's baseball.

What lost this game was Kazmir walking Francoeur before giving up the home run and Hill walking a guy with the bases loaded. Two runs given up on walks.

Anyone think Kipnis will be benched for a game or two or three? I hope not. I remember Garko not running one out before and Wedgie benching him for not Grinding it out. I know, different situation, and perhaps Kipnis didn't see the ball roll away from the catcher.

If he gets the day off today it'll be hard to discern whether it's for disciplinary reasons, or just blowin'.
