Most fascinating cross section of humanity you're ever likely to find under one roof. And I say that quite sincerely.

There or a Vegas casino would be the top two choices from my experiences.

That's where I got my Mosin Nagant, a gun show, covered in cosmoline for less than $80. I also got 750 rds of Romanian surplus 7.62 ammo for my SKS.

No.

We have a culture that has allowed some very displeasing aspects of life to get out of balance. Guns are just a part of that.

If we had a gun culture then taking guns away, even as proposed recently, would solve that problem. We all know that taking guns away, even as proposed, doesn't solve that problem.

You're seriously going to say there's no gun culture in US?

I think I just did.

There is no "gun" culture in the US, most definitely not as it is so desperately trying to be defined since last December. Any and most guns issues this country has are part of a more encompassing problem with out culture in general.

I know your position on this issue CDT, and I know you are pretty knowledgeable on guns and the gun issues, but in this country we don't even initiate the right discussions about guns anymore, in a country with such a "gun problem".

Personally I would respect the arguments of gun opponents much more if they were for getting rid of guns period, or getting rid of handguns (as they are head and shoulders a far greater problem than the scary black AR-15).

That's just dumb.

But it is the essential logic of opponents of our "gun culture".

Which there is no such thing frankly.

Don't be silly. Of course there's a gun culture.

And the reason your comment is dumb is because its just flat wrong. Nobody is giving Adam Lanza, TJ Lane, Eric Harris, and Dylan Klebold a pass on these things. Nobody is saying they are blameless just because they used a gun. We all remember their names but ill be damned if I can remember the names of the guns they used without looking it up.

Gun rights advocates like to make out like everyone whonwould like stricter gun laws thinks that the government should take all of the guns from everyone, start a big list, and the will be no more killings or shootings everywhere. It's bullshit and its disingenuous.

Reasonable measures to perhaps TRY to prevent some killings before they happen is the goal, but you'd never know that from talking to someone who thinks NObamas sole purpose in life is to take their guns, all evidence they he even gave the slightest fuck pre-Newtown to the contrary.

And saying that everyone just blames the guns is a bullshit simplification and you know it.

And Peek, I don't believe for a,second that you have any Zima. That hasn't been made for 5 years, and there's no way it's made it this long without someone drinking that delicious shit up

DRANK IT UP! :partyers:

Although, if by some miracle you had some, it is a good idea to keep it in that fridge to protect it from the explosion. So I can see the logic there.

mo I'm not saying EVERYONE JUST blames guns, but gun opponents strongly play that card, to the illogical tune that they cannot even see the real gun problem in this country.

RE: gun culture, I stand by my take. Our culture has just given way to weak of mind, convenience of look the other way, and ultimately laziness in that if it doesn't affect me personally then it's not a real problem. As great a country as this is to live, we have plenty of problems, much of which is related to the evolution of our culture. Whether it be greed, politics, power, priorities....guns are just a piece of our current state like everything else.

The data shows we're actually less violent despite an increase in guns over time.

Lack of personal responsibility is way higher on the list of ways to describe our culture than guns.
