Cord Phelps called up

Unread postby dazindiansfanuk » Tue Apr 16, 2013 3:19 pm

Not sure it's worth it's own thread, but here it is anyway.

Omir Santos sent down.

I guess, reading between the lines, that means Santana's OK and Kip's elbow is still barking.

Beat me to it, but yeah I assume this is a move to get more infield depth while Kipnis is hurting

Two things I'm wondering about with the Kipnis elbow:

1. Has this been a recurring thing for a while now, possibly explaining the struggles at the dish?

2. If not, did it happen during the walk-off celebration? Kipnis was the first one to greet Swisher and was definitely in the middle of it.

Won't change anything, but it'd definitely be shitty to lose the guy for something that happened in a celebration. Wonder if he's getting a MRI soon.

Good to see Phelps come up after he raked all Spring to rave reviews from Francona. Probably see him at 2B on Wednesday night against Aceves. Southpaws tonight and Thursday.

::doh:: what ever happened to a high five or the slap on the back? Reminds me when Ryan Garko broke/bruised a rib after a walkoff hit. Yeah, walkoff HR or base hit... let's beat the shit outta him! :spanky:
