Paul Hoynes & The Plain Dealer Are Shit

As if further proof was needed:

As a non-practicing journalism school graduate this really and truly makes me sick to my stomach.

Lazy and pathetic is what Hoynes is here. Don't blame the Indians for trying to manage the message but anyone that doesn't have their mouth around the club's crank would be digging into this and following up.

No credibility and no integrity.

Just bury him and the paper and be dome with it.

Good article. One thing that struck me was that apparently the "are you watching the games question" I pose here at times needs to extend beyond these boards.

Cause gun, shmun, a GD dead man that had watched 3 or 4 baseball games while alive coulda told you where Jiminez stood. Hell. watching Sportscenter that night - he was soooo alarmingly pedestrain compared to EVERY other pitcher chucking a ball on that show. There were big league arms, and then there was his.

Not to mention nobody giving a shit if they were behind in the count, and guys just digging in taking porn hacks.

This is the classic case where one shouldn't need a radar reading, or a perusion of the stats. Just eyes open.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I'll be back at the game again on Tuesday, so I won't be able to hear Underwood and Manning slob all over the radar gun when Ubaldo's sitting 92-93 because the gun's hot, but I'm sure it's coming.

Good article. I don't take the time to read too many but always do if peeker or someone else singles it out.

And I bet you COULD hear Underwood and Manning if you coughed up the big $$ for a mobile MLB-TV app. ;-) ;)

For as hard-nosed of a town as Cleveland is, it always baffles me how fawning the mainstream sports media is, especially in the blog/Twitter/advanced stats era when there's nothing to hide behind anymore. WTAM is like a propaganda station at this point, the PD is beyond outdated, and WKNR is the textbook definition of "lowest common denominator." Even younger beat guys like Camino and Bastian seem to toe the company line at all times. I know they all want to retain their employment, but I hope they realize that tweeting roster moves and lineups so we don't have to look them up ourselves is literally the only use most informed fans have for them at this point. Sites like this one, Cleveland Frowns, and WFNY continue to run circles around them.

To be honest, I think it's a bunch of little things like this that have made me dislike the Indians' front office and be more inclined to criticize them. They just continue to insult the fans' intelligence dating back to Wedge.

The last guy I can remember criticizing the Tribe FO was WTAM's Kevin Keane. And then he was gone...
