Tribe haven't started a season 3-0 since 1998.... Not holding out too much hope that run will come to an end with Myers taking the hill!

Our old friend Fausberto Carnandez made his Rays debut today....... ending a stretch of 1060 consecutive games started by a pitcher 30 or under for the Rays.

He was OK-ish...... 6.2IP, 6H, 4R/ER, 2BB, 7K taking the loss against the O's.

Michael Bourn has a huge hole in his swing above the belt on the inner half.

Great hustle by Kip created that run..... without it he has to stop on 3rd after the ground rule double.

Let's see what we get from Myers now.

Sixth time this season the Indians have forced a 20+ pitch inning from a starter.

5 of the 6 runs from the Jays in this series via the long ball...... I get the feeling that might be a recurring theme this year.

Nice shot by Reynolds.

The notice is out, if you hang a changeup belt high in the middle of the plate, Reynolds will hit it far.

Lot of credit to Stubbs for running that out on what should have been a routine play.

I like the 2-1 hit and run. You have a chance the 2nd baseman covers on that play, though I think the Jays knew that last pitch was going to be an change and broke the infield accordingly.

Still nice to see some speed in our game.

The draft.... pitched in 25+ games last year.

Started 2012 in High A ball.

Young guy, very raw, great arm...... it's a work in progress.

Allen's error on the missed catch really hurts now. Could be tide, although it looked like it would have been close even if he makes the catch because he was still a couple of steps away from the base.

Sucks to score 8 runs and not win the game so I hope they can pick up a run or two in the 9th.

The Major League record for most home runs hit in a single game by both teams seems modest, considering the record for one team is ten. On two occasions, in 1995 and 2002, the Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox, in American League games, combined to hit twelve home runs. The National League record in eleven and it has been done four times; the Chicago Cubs have been involved in three of the four games, one in 1979, the most recent.

Meh! Jays are going to destroy a lot of pitching this year and it was about time they had a good offensive day against us.
Still annoying not to win with 14 hits and 8 runs on the board, but it's a series win in Toronto

They'll fix Myers. He won't be that bad on a nightly basis. He's an above average ground ball guy for his career but 7:10 GO:FO tonight plus all of the long balls. Didn't keep the ball down and his sinker was flat. Threw some decent breaking stuff.

Maybe his plan was to make them hit the ball in the air and take the turf out of the equation. If so, it was a terrible idea. 5.03 ERA now on turf for his career. 4.12 on grass. It happens. Maybe he just wasn't sharp and wasn't finishing his delivery. But I doubt he'll be that bad again next time out.

Probably giving him too much credit. He just wasn't good.

Kind of glad they played the way that they did tonight. Found out that scoring eight runs won't do it every night. Have to play defense and pitch. Francona has a teaching point early in the season here. That's helpful. Bourn's laziness on the hustle double, Allen missing the throw wasn't the issue because he got to the bag late anyway, Cabrera muffed a routine grounder. Lack of focus tonight from a lot of guys.

Took 2 of 3. Came back to earth tonight so they should come out with a good effort tomorrow night. Come home 3-3 or 4-2 and I'll be happy with that.
