I couldn't remember if we had a forum-sponsored thread starter, in the same vein as when I was doing all the Cavs threads during the 66 win season, so i didn't want to step on any toes.

Today's workday is moving extremely slow. It feels like I'm watching a 4-inning Ubaldo Jimenez outing. I'm ready for game-time.

A weird roster move today...Hagadone to AAA, Kazmir activated. Wonder what the explanation is.

Posted on the Kazmir thread:

Kazmir strained an abdominal muscle during Monday's workout and might require a trip to the 15-day disabled list. By adding him to the roster now, Cleveland would be able to promote a starter who was optioned to Triple-A at the end of Spring Training.

One thing I'm not looking forward to this season is that stupid "We are Fox Sports" chant shite that they're bound to play before the start of every broadcast.

That really grinds my gears.

Tribe fails to score in 1st inning. Good to be watching baseball, though. Still, it's strange when Opening Day is Opening Night, and indoors to boot.

Great start by Masterson. A four-pitch walk, a line drive that luckily was turned into a double play, a single on an 0-2 pitch, and a hit batter. Now he's up against a tough lefty with two on and two out.

Masterson is not getting any swings and misses, but he's throwing 96.

Check that. He gets Lind to chase some high heat for strike three. Maybe he'll settle down now that he's escaped the first inning.

Tribe plates two runs on RBI's by the 7 and 9 hitters to draw first blood. Dickey is up to 40 pitches after two innings.

So far, so good.

This ump can't see shit. Just because the catcher moves the glove it doesn't mean it's a ball.

Masterson struggling again in the 2nd. He's already up to 44 pitches and is in another jam.

But...he makes the pitch he needs to get out of it once again.

Good thing we have 17 relievers.

One thing in Justin's favor - he gets a lot of rest because Dickey also throws a ton of pitches. This is looking like a four-hour game. 45 minutes to play two innings.

Double edged sword of having an electric fastball the dances all over the place. It's a nightmare for hitters and umpires alike.

The fastball looks good and we know control is going to be an issue. Masterson can't paint the corners with the way that thing moves.

I know you're being facetious when you say 17 relievers but, we're not carrying the extra man anymore with Hagadone being sent down before the game.

Masterson has held his nerve and ended this start well (setting down 11 straight) a quality start, although the 4 walks are a black spot.

I hope we can tack on a couple more insurance runs. Opening day save situations make me anxious

The final five innings of that game were as enjoyable to watch as any game last season.

Drew Stubbs as a lead-off hitter: untenable. Drew Stubbs as a nine-hole hitter: not bad.

Carlos Santana as a clean-up hitter: not good enough. Carlos Santana as a six-hole hitter: awesome.

The pressure is off those guys. I think they can put up monster numbers in the bottom of the order.

Watching Reynolds in RBI situations is going to make me break things in my house, though.
