Footballscoop, who has nailed just about every coaching hire for over a year is claiming as much.

I guess that barnburner of 10-7 win in 2011 where MSU pulled the game out thanks to the worst offensive performance I have ever seen at OSU intrigued Dantonio enough that he just had to get himself some of that fine OC/Walrus ass.

The fucking Walrus, not only has a job (keep in mind he sucked ass as OL coach/Run Game coordinator at BC last year, BUT HE IS A B1G OC AGAIN.

God, I cannot believe anyone intentionally made him the OC. I understand why Fickell had to make do with him. Heck, I even get why Tressel carried around his dead weight (because OC was only a title).

Why would Sparty hire him on purpose?

Same reason Tress went down with the ship trying to save Pryor. You can call that crew out on a lot of things football wise, but DAMN were/are they loyal.
