Again, whether or not the Browns should spend $13 mil per on a Mike Wallace is as inconsequential as it is debatable.

If you buy Wallace, you send him down the sideline lickety-split on EVERY friggin' play. Hell, he doesn't even have to know the offense. He either catches a home run if Ginger's got the wind at his back, or it opens up things for the O all over the rest of the field. Not rocket surgery.

The only consideration is whether the money can be better spent elsewhere — and you know exactly where that is, meaning the flip side of the offense.

Think about it. $48 mil under cap. Cap space is a means to an end & not an end in itself. The end is to field good players not husband cap space. Teams cull herd all the time to make it work. Staying this far under cap shows a team not committed to winning.

We can EASILY sign 3 top tier UFAs & have the 6th overall & remain under cap comfortably. If B&B F up and don't come up with 4 quality starters they screwed the pooch . And "quality" does not mean a zona scratch & dent fire sale following Lil Bow Wow. It means players teams want.

The other key will be whether they use a scalpel or maul to address the inherited roster. No Browns FO has been able to grasp that concept yet in reboot. Whatever ur opinion is of Weeds keeping him is a good sign they may be doing that.

He's the one component we don't already have , and can't duplicate with a little more time and experience .

He's the heavyweight to Camerons light heavy pretensions.

Cook and a bulldozer at guard , and take solace in Wallace taking his talents to South Beach , which still cripples the heathens , even though we don't double down with his acquisition.
