Dice-K signed to minor league deal

Another ex-Red Sock to add to the list.

Sounds like he'll compete for the 5th spot in the rotation in spring training.

Deal has the potential to be worth up to $4m.

No risk, medium reward. I think the guy's done, but we'll see if he proves me wrong. Never a bad idea to add starting pitching depth.
A God Damn dead man would understand that if a minor league bus in any city took a real sharp right turn, a Zack McCalister would likely fall out. - Lead Pipe

Someone get on the horn and let em' know Babe Ruth's dead before they ink him to a deal.

I know, I know, low risk high reward. Or, more likely low risk, no reward. It's just that following the template of signing potential all-stars a decade past that time basically has never worked out in the history of the game.

Rather see some guys workin' over there, instead of playing darts.

Jose Canseco just reached out to Antonetti on twitter to see if he and Mann can get in on the "over the hill" action.

I'm not completely against it.
According to my sources CDT farts in the tub and bites the bubbles.

I'd have preferred Chris Young. Much better hurler and much better chance of making the rotation
