Oden rumored to have ties to the Cavs. He lives in Columbus, went to OSU, and C-town has a lovely clinic.

Might be a nice addition if he's healthy. But that's a mighty big if.

if

^ that's the biggest if we got around here.

Between CLE and MIA per most source. MIA would off the min while Cavs would offer approx $4m/year. He won't see the court til next season either way but for that money I see very little risk if he'll come here.

As an aside, he appears to have gotten his issues under control. I hope he gets back on the floor. That's a sad, sad story.

I hope he gets on the floor too, no matter where it ends up being. It's a shame how his career has gone so far. He's such a likable dude.

I remember reading an interview with him back at tOSU where he said if he didn't play basketball he'd want to be a dentist, so you know he's a solid dude. Can you imagine going to the dentist and 7 foot Greg Oden walks into the room and tries to fit his giant fingers into your mouth?
According to my sources CDT farts in the tub and bites the bubbles.

Now THAT's a TV show I'd watch. Mother and Greg Oden running a lucrative suburban dental practice by day, then teaming up with CDT to fight an international hipster crime syndicate led by e0 by night. Hilarity ensues.

I'm cool with Oden coming to Cleveland, when LeBron returns they can be the first ever father & son title winners!

My son said Oden would be a great sidekick for Kyrie Irving....

in his Uncle Drew commercials.... Oden wouldn't need makeup.

Scott, Based on what I know. That isn't necessarily the question.

The real question would be how bad were his previous injuries and resultant surgeries. All "osteochondral injuries" are not equal , subsequently, the "aggressiveness" of the surgery are not equal. Recovering from surgery is one thing, being 7ft.; 250lbs and bouncing off other giants is another.

Given Oden's track record  . He is a ticking time bomb.

He does have youth (?) and world class treatment on his side and alot of rest.

It is what it is. He may come back and be fine with limited P.T.

I hope he does.

Vegas says take the " likely to need more surgery" money line.
