Good for Pronk. Hope all those Yankee fans remember The Bug Game of 2007.

Now does the Tribe claim Russ Canzler again? Wouldn't surprise me.

I'd be shocked if they didn't pick him back up , it just feels like Russ and the Tribe are destined for each other.

Pronk will do well , as long as he is "well" with that short RF porch.

Otherwise he & A-Rod can wheel each other around.

The Hafner hate (not necessarily around here) amuses me.

Lewie Pollis ‏@LewsOnFirst
Hafner's had four straight years of 120-130 OPS+'s. There would have been downsides to signing him, but spare us the "he can't hit" baloney.

John Dewan ‏@FieldingBible
Stat of the Day: New #Yankees platoon option Travis Hafner has the 33rd-best OPS vs. RH pitchers since 2010 with a minimum of 500 at bats.

I get that the dude's not exactly reliable health-wise, but when he is in the lineup, he's still a contributor. There would have been (and will be since we missed signing Hafner) worse options against RHP than Hafner for 2M base + incentives.

I hope the Indians sign Thome so we can see the double standard at work when fans get all nostalgic and ignore how he'll be hurt more than Hafner.
