Projecting that label onto Nick Foleses and Kirk Cousinses and [insert backup with mediocre ceiling] doesn't make them upgrades no matter how much you don't like our current QB with mediocre ceiling.

The Eagles interviewed eleventy billion guys, including such highly-wanted luminaries as Mike Nolan and Brian Billick. Two days ago, Kelly was visiting recruits. Yesterday, the Chargers and McCoy make it official. Today, Kelly's the Eagles head coach.

Like I said, something changed. Kelly held firm to what he wanted, and today he got it from the Eagles.

Jimmy just got taken by Joe Banner, grifter. A con this big should be made into a major motion film. Tells the mark that in order to land the hot new HC the Browns would first grab the coach, give him power and a direct line to Banner with no pesky GM in between. To me, it matters not why Kelly went to Philly. What I find hysterical and disturbing at the same time is the fact that the Browns were going to make a "big splash" and to do so they were going to make sure any HC candidate would be enticed by the amount of control.

Instead they went with option C or D or E and Banner ends up with COMPLETE control of everything. What a complete and utter clusterfuck.

Maybe Banner can lurk here before the draft and get some ideas.

My guess, and it's only a guess, is that the Chipper just didn't want to work for JoBan. Don't believe it had to do with the city or how much coin the team offered him. Having determined he didn't want to have anything to do with our FO early in the seven-hour interview, the Chipper used the rest of it to get a feel for how much he could demand from another team. The Iggles complied.

Less is going to happen to Oregon than happened to OSU, for the 400th time. They were 80% of the way to having the case done once already.
