Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger. -JB

It's the city, not the team.

The odds that every single FO exec in Cleveland is this bad is astronomical. Too many regimes have tried too many times. The city is the one constant.

Cleveland just cannot hire talent. It cannot be done.

Wonder if Roger Goodell will take scholarships away from the Eagles after the NCAA sanctions come down on the Ducks.

He suspended Tressel for 4 games w/Colts. If Chip is caught up in the Oregon wash I'd hope for the same ridiculous sentence.

It wasn't the sanctions.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutd ... --nfl.html

In addition to Kelly, the Eagles interviewed Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Mike Nolan and special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong, Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, former Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt, former Baltimore Ravens head coach Brian Billick, Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden and Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley. The Eagles had interest in Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly and Penn State head coach Bill O'Brien, each of whom, like Chip Kelly, decided to remain in college. Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy was interviewed, as well, but was not a finalist in Philadelphia and was named the head coach of the San Diego Chargers on Tuesday.

And Tom Izzo wanted to come, but James wouldn't commit.

What's abundantly clear is that the Browns did an expert job at hiding Chud from the others.

Take that, bitches!! Never saw Chud to Cleveland coming...

There isn't one available.

End of discussion.

Projecting that label onto Nick Foleses and Kirk Cousinses and [insert backup with mediocre ceiling] doesn't make them upgrades no matter how much you don't like our current QB with mediocre ceiling.

But if we want to keep replacing meh QB's with other meh QB's every year for the sake of trimming off some of those pesky draft picks, sounds peachy keen.

The Eagles interviewed eleventy billion guys, including such highly-wanted luminaries as Mike Nolan and Brian Billick. Two days ago, Kelly was visiting recruits. Yesterday, the Chargers and McCoy make it official. Today, Kelly's the Eagles head coach.

Like I said, something changed. Kelly held firm to what he wanted, and today he got it from the Eagles.

Jimmy just got taken by Joe Banner, grifter. A con this big should be made into a major motion film. Tells the mark that in order to land the hot new HC the Browns would first grab the coach, give him power and a direct line to Banner with no pesky GM in between. After every interviewee runs away from working for Banner the Browns have no one left except a desperate Chud. Ooops, new guy is way too inexperienced for any type of control; now Banner has consolidated power with no one else in his way.

Machiavelli would be impressed.

Didn't eagles offer total control, that and the fact the NCAA is going duck hunting add up to Chip going to Philly?

Is his statue built yet, I'd assume it's going next to Rocky no?

To me, it matters not why Kelly went to Philly. What I find hysterical and disturbing at the same time is the fact that the Browns were going to make a "big splash" and to do so they were going to make sure any HC candidate would be enticed by the amount of control.

Instead they went with option C or D or E and Banner ends up with COMPLETE control of everything. What a complete and utter clusterfuck.

Maybe Banner can lurk here before the draft and get some ideas.

My guess, and it's only a guess, is that the Chipper just didn't want to work for JoBan. Don't believe it had to do with the city or how much coin the team offered him. Having determined he didn't want to have anything to do with our FO early in the seven-hour interview, the Chipper used the rest of it to get a feel for how much he could demand from another team. The Iggles complied.
Just a guess.

Less is going to happen to Oregon than happened to OSU, for the 400th time. They were 80% of the way to having the case done once already.
