I had front-row seats just behind the first-base bag at a weekday Tribe vs. A's game in 2006 or 2007. After the game, Swisher came over that way to talk to his family and I got his attention. One of my best friends was his grad student instructor at tOSU and wanted me to say hi to him. He was pretty nice and talked to me for a few minutes about my friend and tOSU - no real indication that he's a self-entitled ass, at least from my perspective, especially considering that I interrupted him on his way to talk with his family.

I never said he was entitled d-bag, for the record. I said his personality wears on guys and gets old and that people find it highly annoying after being exposed to it.

I'm sure everything will be great here and it won't be an issue at all.

Jesus.

Why is it only the guys that come here who get the benefit of the doubt again?

Forget it it. No need to answer that.

Just refer to my 2nd aragraph and let it go at that. I'll watch and judge the players and teams. The issue with the fans is one I really should know better than to broach.

It's been noted that if the Indians are 35-58 and he is doing the pie in the face thing, decent guy or not it won't go over well.
