Nobody is surprised that this happened. I think we are all a little shocked that it got released the night before the last game. I guess this is to take away any last hope the team had of winning tomorrow to ensure the better pick.

I know you are kidding, but I will withhold any assumption that Haslam and co. know what they are doing/have a plan until they prove such. Carmen Policy, Mike Holmgren et al making Art Modell look smart has worn me down.

They didn't fire them the night before the game. This changed nothing.

There is nothing that has happened in the last 24-48 hours that anyone with an ounce of sense didn't know was going to happen between 430pm today and 430pm tomorrow. Those guys are still employed with the Browns and their status is still critical to dead just like it has been for a weeks.

My second straight Sunday working, so I will miss the game, but anyone who seriously thought these guys were going to stay (Rubes employed by the PD), just isn't paying attention.

I really want to see the game, though, just so I can see the big "F-YOU!!" to Shurmur from the players. I look forward to getting texts about receivers just giving up on routes, tackles missed on purpose, and Josh Cribbs just standing on the sideline giving Shurmur the finger in the 4th Quarter.

It's not just that this team has given up on SHUR, I believe they actively HATE his guts.
