They just mentioned that Weeds is getting help from HIS WIFE coaching. If SHUR is as bad at coaching as I think he is, we may be in for a treat next year when we actually have a guy who is helping his players.

I'd have like to see Weeds just step up and run for that 1st down. He's big enough to fall forward for that one.

Haven't watched too much of the game, but it seems like the D can't get off the field. Slow death.

Manning has been like a surgeon. Our D hasn't been that bad. He is a future HOF member after all.

Browns just can't finish off drives, if they could it might have changed the season let alone this first half.

In typical fashion we're lucky to be hanging around in this game, should be 21-3.

Denver fans have waited 52 years for a QB of this caliber.

Call that a ticky tack flag but it's a heads up play by Weeden on the very late slide, if you can coax a ref into throwing that flag by all means do it. Unless I'm not a fan of your team then that would be such BS.

Just having a great time watching Weeden really open it up and sling it all over the field like he said he would.

Really loved the 3rd and goal from the 8 play where he hit a covered Josh Cooper for no yards on that 'never saw it coming' short crossing route.

And I had a pretty good idea his wife was helping him with the game plan. The big words probably had him up all night.

I rarely agree with Fouts but I think he had a point about Denver declining that holding call on Schwartz. It simply gave us 3 points. Unless Denver is just that confident those 3pts won't mean diddly squat in about 10 minutes. I'm going with the latter.

Brilliant.

Late and under thrown to a wide open Gordon and then stands back there like a statue and takes a sack on 3rd and 9.

Thank God that FG attempt was in Denver.

And btw, if someone doesn't shred a Brandon Stokley knee after he gutlessly launched at S Brown like he did, I'm gonna be disappointed.

Biggest problem with Weeden going down field IMO is he is not trusting where the receiver is supposed to be by the time Weeden envisions himself getting the ball there. I understand those things take some time to come around but this IS his 15th start not his 2nd. C'mon Brandon.

You couldn't hang from a wire and softly place the ball into these receivers hands of Denver any better than where Manning is putting them, JFC.

Yes, I am rooting for the Browns to win.

I keep hearin' this Calvin Johnson record bullshit.

What about Pat Shurmer running the drag route with Ben Watson on 893 consecutive 3rd downs.

Dick Lebo is already done with his defensive game plan foe next week. Knocked it out on the way off the field today.

Man...the way they left Von Miller unblocked on that makes me think they (the O-line) did that on purpose. That was so terribly bad.

Colt warming up.

But when you take into account the sack yardage loss, it woulda only been a 3 or 4 yard penalty.

Then the per usual "draw play" that woulda gained two leaves you in about the same place.

Weeden might not be a lot of things, including the guy for a long term solution, or the guy for next year, but man we don't need any extra excuses for Banner and company hurry to replace him.

As for Colt, LOL, funny first snap. Shocking really.

After watching the replay, the entire O-line rotates left and leaves TRich to block VM...but TRich doesn't know he's supposed to do this. And what you get is splat.

JFC it's bad enough watching this game, and Colt, but somebody has to mention Singletary's eyes, in 2012? WTF.

Way to get TRich hurt on the last play. THIS is why you don't wait till the end of the year to fire your complete turd of a coach.

And nice job letting Colt go take a beating for you.

I know that you think that's some kind of "diss", but apparently being "right" and representing the "righteous anger" crowd isn't as important to me as it is to you.

Look what this team has done to you. It's left you a bitter shell of your former self. You should follow my lead and take a nice long break from them.

Nope. It's just funny.

That looooong break is coming, sir. Til it officially does I'll honor the commitments I made and ride it out.

Mid stream and all that.

I'll try and be more cheerful though. How about that Reggie Hodges!!!! Not one punt in the 20's today!!! Thank God for the thin air in Colorado. Gave him a real boost.

At least the 'D', OL and TRich were solid today. Sheldon Brown looked good til he died, Buster Skrine made progress, coaching was exemplary in that the team was ready to play and game plan was fresh, etc., etc.

You should go freshen up the playoff possibilities thread, no? :lmfao:

I know that you think that's some kind of "diss", but apparently being "right" and representing the "righteous anger" crowd isn't as important to me as it is to you.

Look what this team has done to you. It's left you a bitter shell of your former self. You should follow my lead and take a nice long break from them.

I know that some claim that drinking helps, but it really only makes us angrier and more irrational sounding.

You wanna hurt me? Go right ahead if it makes you feel any better. I'm an easy target. Yeah, you're right, I talk too much. I also listen too much. I could be a cold-hearted cynic like you... but I don't like to hurt people's feelings. Well, you think what you want about me; I'm not changing. I like... I like me. My wife likes me. My customers like me. 'Cause I'm the real article. What you see is what you get.

Merry Christmas guys.

And btw, if someone doesn't shred a Brandon Stokley knee after he gutlessly launched at S Brown like he did, I'm gonna be disappointed.

Gee, I wonder if Peeks is a fan of the QB.

Man, you're sensitive today.

That's not a diss. I'd love to spend the hour or two after a Browns game not having to relive it. It'd be far healthier and enjoyable. But I can't right now. Not just because of the writing element but because of the other stuff that's involved with the site.

Hell, I'd love to (and have) not watch at all occasionally (and have my 12 yr old give me play by play texts while I sit in a fucking tree). I get that appeal and I get that's a better way to spend a day.

But I can't right now.

Soon enough, in all likelihood. But I'm seeing this through.

Don't think that doesn't mean I don't know every freaking column is basically Groundhog Day. I'm not good enough, smart enough or eloquent enough to make it read any different. I'd love to stop.

But I can't right now.

I have to finish and I will. And there is nothing else to say other than what's been said about all of it whether it's the Indians, Browns or Cavs.

Maybe I should go that route and at least make it an interesting day?

Go ahead. It wouldn't be inaccurate.

I hate the movie Groundhog Day. It annoys me and I can't watch it. You know exactly how it feels to write the review of that dog of a movie week after week. You run out of ways to do it. And this regime and roster is emblematic of it. Not that other regimes and rosters weren't, but I had yet to have to write the same review 96 times. So if I have to go to ridiculous levels to make them semi-readable, then that's all I got. Here on the boards? Same thing. I hate this team as its comprised and clearly it comes through.

I've been to KSU's campus several times, and I must objectively describe your platitudes as "generous". But that goes for every campus I've been to in Ohio. Now, Oregon... Sure. But Ohio? No.

To be fair, I have not been to the U of Tiffin or YSU. Those might just be the Milan and Paris of Ohio schools.

Do you have the freedom to have fun with it? Maybe write it as a script, with a real-life Hollywood cast? Or from the vantage point of somewhere in the stadium? Maybe an undisturbed patch of real estate, like the opposing team's end zone? Or use your ball-boy experience and narrate the game as a conversation between ballboys? Or maybe just thoughts going through a ballboy's head. Could stray to musings over ladies in the crowd/stuff people are yelling/etc. etc.?

I think maybe you have to have fun with it to have fun with it. That team just isn't fun.

Not for me anyway. Not anymore.

I do have some fun describing the QB play ;-) ;)
