This one on the right knee, which was a year or so after having it on left. Career ostensibly over. Derailed by injuries. Very sad and very, very costly to Tribe and to Grady.

Two years. Had it on left in early June 2010. Had the right knee merely scoped a year ago, to no avail.

I had a feeling this was the case. It was the rumor on TRBS 1-2 months ago and Hoynsie kept hinting that he might miss 2013 as well.

Sadly, I agree. I don't even think anyone will take a flyer on him on a minor league deal now. Mid-2013 at the earliest and he's never made it back on those "at the earliest" dates yet. No matter how hard he works his body will never let him play again. So, so sad.

Good thing for him I don't believe, from what I can tell, that he blew a lot of the money he *has* made on huge houses or 14 cars. I'm pretty sure his house in AZ is modest (in baseball stars living in Scottsdale standards) and IIRC, he's driven the same Audi to the Jake since 2008. How often do you see that?

He was just inducted into his high school's athletic hall of fame the other day. They had an old picture of him in football gear in the local paper. Wonder if he now wishes he'd have chosen to play FB at U-Dub instead of signing with Montreal.

Poor Grady. I wish I was a millionaire with model good looks banging a mega-hot Playmate like a triple-crown horse out to stud.

As I posted last year, I think he's closer to "not walking with horrible pain" than "pro-athlete". But he'll be quite fine as far as life goes.
