Brace yourselves

Unread postby Gradysmanldy » Mon Nov 26, 2012 9:50 pm

For Colt to start against a dreadful Oakland team, go for 275 and 2 td's with 1 pick, and get the win.....followed by Cleveland to collectively lose its mind and start screaming for him to start the following week.

Going to be uglay.

No one will be calling for him to start next year except for people who call the shows on WTAM and STO.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Pat is trying to KEEP his job, so he'll do everything in his power to avoid having to start Colt.

The controversy is on...

I guess they forgot Colt had 8 games under his belt (and 8 on the sidelines), and Weeds is a rookie.

I like how the current regime dealt with the 2 QB's that were on the roster when they came in.

Of course, their solution was Jake Delhomme, so...

I don't think either QB is a franchise QB, so I still don't care who starts on Sunday, Monday, Next Thursday, or on Feb. 32.

Fire Shurmur.

Also a question I was wondering about this morning: Is Brandon Weeden an idiot?

I've heard murmurs that he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, and I watched a rookie QB Nick Foles at least show the capability to call audibles at the line, something I don't think i've caught Weeden doing once.

Im not putting him at DA levels of DERP, but....

The Wonderlic is supposed to be a measure of the innate intelligence of NFL players. DOES NOT have hardly anything to do with football intelligence. But for statistics fanatics, these are some interesting Wonderlic scores:
Ryan Fitzpatrick 48 (all-time record for QBs)
Eli Manning 39
Charlie Frye 38
Andrew Luck 37
Aaron Rodgers 35
Tom Brady 33
Andy Dalton 29
Brady Quinn 29
BRANDON WEEDEN 27
Joe Flacco 27
Ben Roethlisberger 25
Robert Griffin III 24
Tim Tebow 22
Brett Favre 22
Cam Newton 21
Derek Anderson 19
Dan Marino 15
Seneca Wallace 14
Weeden's hesitancy to audible at the line may be more a function of coaching. Remember...Bernie Kosar got FIRED for checking off.

Charlie Frye 38
Andrew Luck 37
Aaron Rodgers 35
Tom Brady 33

Chaz Frye should get these Wonderlic results carved into his tombstone.

This. I'm sure Weeden would love to check out of Shurmy's retarded plays, but Paddy would never suffer that from a rookie.

It is a well known fact that ginigers are timid and slow.

That is why he doesn't audible.

Duh.

Luckily Weeds was cleared to practice today.

It's been a big challenge watching this team all year, and I don't know if I could handle a Colt McCoy start.

Hopefully I won't be put to the test.

Totally ruining my prediction that we'd see Colt (inneffectiveness, gingerism) vs. Rex Grossman (concussion, ineffectiveness of Cousins) for the tilt on the 16th.
