swerb was going to make a $500 bet for me @ 9-1 but waited to re-check the odds

In the meantime, I used online info to get a local guy to give me 8-1 for $400

They were sneaking in under the radar since the break and every move the 'favored' Dodgers made failed to gain a game

I got the Giants at 16:1 in March. Did hedge a little with Tigers but having been enjoying the hell out of these first two games. The last two series I was pulling hair out though.

I know it would be difficult to have manipulated it otherwise, but the WS scheduled Games 3, 4, and 5 up against College Football, Sunday Night Football, and Monday Night Football. Unless they make it to Game 6, those WS ratings are gonna take a beating.

Is it just me ? Am I believing the hype in that the Giants are actually a group of guys that check their egos at the door ( a la Zito getting left off roster last time and not bitching etc) and play TEAM baseball, doing whatever it takes to win? Caus I'm believing it.

San Fran (reference it as San Fran on purpose when I'm there) is probably my least favorite major US city. Ballpark is a treasure, the city is absolutely gorgeous to look at, and its within a couple hours of a lot of cool shit.

But the bums. They're everywhere. And relentless. They'll follow you for 3 blocks. Which is even more annoying because of how hilly walking around downtown is. Food in the town is overrated. The cost of living is borderline insane. The politics of the city are insane. And the weather sucks. Always raining and windy, constant radical shifts in temperature ... I can deal with shitty weather, just let me know about it in advance and not at mid day.
