Can we just have a cross-over show combining Justified and The Walking Emotional Face-Makers where it's only Raylan and Boyd just bantering and trying to survive against a horde of zombies? That's a zombie show I'd watch.

The "mid season finale" pissed me off. Just play the fucking show and quit trying to spread it out so the faggot and vastly overrated AMC can make more money.

This is just a guess, but I assume this new band of survivors is somehow connected to Woodbury and the Governor. But I may be wrong, the just need to get off the goddamn farm.

I quit watching that stupid shitbomb 5 episodes into season 1 when it was just Bullock killing individual bad guys with a weak central plot, while "Boyd" found Jesus in prison.

Ironicly the show didn't get good until after five episodes into season 1, I almost quit myself.

Season 2 was freaking awesome, like really awesome and the second half of season 1 was pretty damn good.

I quit even before that, prolly after episode 2-3. Picked it up again in season 2, when it had more of an over-arcing plot than the stand-alone marshalling (is that a word? it is now) stories and it was fantastic. Mags Bennett was one of the best TV villains of all-time.

Pretty decent finale there. That seemed more like the show I signed up for at the beginning.

Apparently the hooded character trailing the armless zombies is some super badass chick named Michonne. I was excited just looking at that character she looked so cool. And twitter is going apeshit over the appearance of the prison. Looks like good times are coming. Finally.

Now, if someone would please bite Lori's face off until she is dead. Carl too. Fock those two.

The death of Shane was when I knew they were getting to the prison. You kill one bad guy, you gotta bring in another. Enter the Governor (probably mid season)

Michonne is a badass, she fucks people and zombies up. All hail the Samurai sword.

No.... it's not a great show, but I enjoy it because i'm a comics fanboy and the subject matter is one I grew up loving.

They just dropped the ball on this season as a whole. The last few episodes were solid and I have high hopes for season 3.

Season 3 should have the following.

The prison (obviously) and the people holed up there.

Woodbury suriviors (Randal may have been one of them and the helicopter in the finale has a lot to do with it).

The Governor, one of the most vile characters in comics history.

Gladiator fights.

An insane gun battle.

Murder, rape, and torture on a disturbing level.

Zombies.

They need to do a show on 100 Bullets, one of the best stories ever.... and i'm not just talking comics, i'm talking ever, any format.

And on a completely unrelated note, if you like Archer, you should get the DVDs for Frisky Dingo. Same creators, Reed and Thompson. It's only got 2 seasons, typical Adult Swim format of 15 minute episodes. The pilot was just on.

I think in the comics Carl goes pretty much insane. On TV the both of them cannot die soon enough. I stopped watching after the episode where Rick and Shane got in that NHB fight. Perhaps I should skim those episodes I missed...

was it right at the beginning? Because my direct TV was taking a shit for the first 3 minutes or so and I picked it up as the Zombies were storming the place.

The comic is clearly better IMO, and it's still running. I wouldn't call it one of my favorite series, but it's solid. I suggest reading Preacher, The Boys, or 100 Bullets. The first two are written by the same guy and are completely weird and twisted in a way I enjoy, Bullets is straight noir and epic storytelling that blows anything on TV away by a country mile.

She's dead in the comic. Carl is pretty cool, he shot Shane in the throat before the group left Atlanta. He also killed another kid (part of the Atlanta survivors who isn't in the show). He was shot in the face and in a coma the last issue I read. I need to get caught up.

Watched the series this weekend on AMC's marathon of the show. Not nearly as excellent as Breaking Bad (which I'm also catching up on), but I'm really enjoying it. Can't believe I haven't gotten into these shows before now.

Couple questions I had for those in the know:

The helicopter at the beginning of the last episode: was that the same helicopter Rick saw in Atlanta when they were looking for Merle (or was it the pilot...I can't remember)?

Will Lori die soon? Or at least, does she die soon in the comics? Please say yes...

Yes she is shot in the back by a shotgun and kills her baby by falling on it

If it's half as good as the comic, which in some places it hasn't been, it should be a bloodbath. Torture, murder, rape, awful shit.

Dale wasn't killed like that in the comics. He had his leg eaten by cannibals. He had been bitten before hand and the cannibals tried to vomit up the infected "meat". Rick and some of the survivors proceed to massacre the cannibals in brutal fashion. I don't consider that a spoiler since he's fuckin' dead already.

The point of the comic is the real walking dead are the survivors, not the zombies. They're all infected as shown in season 2.

I really hope it goes more in that direction. I love the really, really dark stuff.

The one thing that really shocked me was the little girl being in the barn, having already turned. I wasn't shocked that she had turned...I knew it was at least a possibility. But I didn't figure out she was in the barn until about a half second before the reveal. That, I thought, was well-played.

I liked that they picked up a few months after last season ended. Since the actor playing Carl's getting older it allows them to age the character to match the actor. And apparently Carl's going after some tail now, too. It also lets him become a much more accomplished marksman offscreen (I never tire of how ridiculously accurate these guys are with their handguns).

Michonne was awesome. Can't wait to meet the Governor.

Great episode. The attack to gain entry into the prison was one of the most bad-ass action sequences I've ever seen on TV. Loved the zombies in riot gear...it was interesting watching this (by now) seasoned team of zombie killers having a split second to solve the dilemna of taking down enemies whose only weakness is rendered moot by virtue of being protected by helmets. Awesome sequence.

We're only roughly 40 minutes into this season, and there's already so much more potential for bad-assery in this prison than there ever was at the farm. And I'm one of the people who didn't even actually mind last season.

Loved the episode. I laughed when Rick pulled that gas mask off and the zombie's face went with it. Incredible costume/make up FX.
