In Quinn's defense, he's never quarterbacked a team that wasn't terrible. So we have no idea if he's any good.

He said the fans are clamoring for Brady Quinn to replace their awful quarterback AND that the fans have been astonished at how awful Romeo Crennel's clock management has been thus far.

Yes, the Browns organization has sucked. And a big part of that is the QB play.

Now now, the Quinn-fueled offense moved the ball sufficiently downfield so that when they punted that if the D held and forced TB to punt, blocked punt would wind up being a touchdown. That there is Romeo Crennell gameplaning 101.

And Quinn threw 36 passes NOT caught by Tampa defenders, including a pass as long as NINETEEN whole yards. That's nothing short of awesome.

Have to agree, RE: KC fans.....when you meet them out and about in America, they tend to be knowledgeable and appreciative of the game. Some fan bases just tend to be easier to get along with; DC sports fans (all 17 of them) Carolina, Seattle, midwest teams, etc. Not spoiled with winning, capable of admitting faults within their side, can talk definitively about what makes YOUR team good/bad, etc.

To be frank, I went to a Ravens/Saints game last year, and the fans up there were pretty great. I almost felt bad saying that their team was a stolen traveshemockery and that I hoped they all woke up with herpes.

BTW: Chiefs are the worst team in the NFL this year. If there's odds, I'd take them as most likely to shitcan the whole Front Office, QB, and clean house. (Even over the Browns, at a close second....at least there's potential on that squad)

IIRC it was Boomer and the crew on that show talking about KC and how much talent they actually have on the team but also how if the QB position is that much of a hole how it renders the entire offense virtually incompetent. They suggested that just getting competent play from the QB position can make a significant difference in an offense. I think as Browns fans we are seeing that now.

I mean let's face it you're going to get some bad plays from a variety of positions throughout a game, but it is exponentially increased when your QB is so shaky and mostly ineffective on a consistent basis.

What's up with that? Who can you trust anymore? The more I watch the more I am convinced luck plays a pretty big part in the development of a successful franchise. That and not naming Todd Haley as your HC, Charlie Weiss as OC and Romeo Void as DC.

I think the NFL is like the world - single men with too much unchecked power fail, no matter how brilliant they are. Organizations with a coherent system that functions as a team succeed. Question - who is the Steelers' GM? Nobody knows because he stays out of the limelight and just makes consistent winning teams (with a hopeful notable asterisk this season).
