Phone call

Unread postby Fire Marshall Bill 2.0 » Fri Sep 21, 2012 7:56 pm

Mike, this is Mr Haslam

Good morning sir

Mike, make peace with Jim Brown or you're toast

Yes sir! Right away sir!

Brown said he'll meet Saturday with incoming owner Jimmy Haslam III, who recently purchased the Browns for $1 billion from Randy Lerner. Brown would like to have a hand in developing "a new winning attitude" with the Browns, and is looking forward to meeting with Haslam to discuss a possible future with the club.

"What an opportunity to be able to sit down with him," Brown said. "It's a beautiful thing."

How many different regimes can this guy fool into paying him? It's amazing.

Meh, it's not my money.

Just keep him away from the media.

And the players. And the coaches. And away from any women with glass jaws.

Jim Brown is 76 yrs old the last 30 of those have been spent as a professional thief. Holmgren's misjudged QBs, OL, DBs and all other kinds of personnel.

But he's got Jim Brown pegged. He was right to sever that direct line to Randy's bank account.

You want to know who kids would benefit from hearing and shadowing? The guy Jim Brown is in town to help honor. Ernie Green had it every bit as rough as Brown did, maybe rougher. And the guy never held a hand out to anyone but rather built a business that's still running and growing and employing people all over the state.

I don't give a shit who you were 50 years ago. Jim Brown wants to make money simply from being Jim Brown then let him follow Pete Rose around and sign his fucking name for 8 hours twice a week.

If dude wants to actually work and mentor and actually add value then pay him what that's worth. But the Browns and #32 need to quit acting like a couple of petulant kids in a sand box.

Jim Brown has been overrated since 1999, to some of us even since December of 1983.

"Pay me, and I'll say nice things about you."

This has been Jim Brown's motto for years.

Outspoken my ass, all a matter if he's on your payroll or not.

He'da been giving Trent Richardson hand jobs instead of "ordinary" talk had he still been collecting a check. And that's what this impass with the Browns is all about.

People would be shocked if they knew the real figure this guy has stolen from the organization over the past decades.

I'm toast anyway at the end of this year so why don't you have Joe Banner do it? That's a personality match made in heaven."

I don't need to be patient, they're going to be shit forever.
