I think they were too generous with "possession" of the ball. I think the ball was still squirming around after the one foot left the ground. Just simply touching the ball with both hands is not "possession." In slow-motion, it looks like "possession."

It goes without sayin but great improvement from last week. No Haden and no Sheldon Brown and we were right in it.

Loss or no loss, 3 offenisve TDs, 300yds passing and 100 yds rushing, make this a much better played game then most would have thought.

And they should have gone for the TD at the end. With 24 seconds left, you only have 3 or 4 plays left. Its much easier to score a TD from close up on 4th and 5, and then kick a 50 yarder then it is to kick the field goal from short range, then drive to the end zone from midfield in just 3 plays with no timeouts.

Actually, you kick the field goal as soon as you get in range, that way if you get the onside kick it leaves you more than a Hail Mary.

This is what a coach that has an idea of what's going on does, which pretty much leaves the Browns out.

And let that idiot know, that if you have an offense that's challenged to get downfield, and you moved up to draft a RB, that you don't dive every GD 2nd and one.

You drafted that guy to get you 3rd and ones - so you can make some fucking plays on 2nd and short.

What a huge mismatch today vs. the Cin receivers. Pretty hard to believe the O kept up, to a degree.

The Weed didn't airmail open recievers this week. And Massaquio- I remember he had a nice game vs Cin during his rookie season, as well.

The longer time ticks away from this game, the better I feel.

Just got done watching. An entire game only takes an hour and a half if you get to FF through commercials and kickoffs.

Skrine and Patterson... ugh. The next 3 weeks are gonna be painful on defense.

Richardson damn impressive. Weeden was solid, but nothing spectacular. But after last week's performance, just being solid is a big step. Not expecting All Pro play from him in the next 3 or 4 (or the rest of the season), and he'll certainly have worse games than this, but going from a 5.1 to a 114.9... 110 points has to be the biggest jump in passer rating ever (more a testament to how bad he was last week than to how good he was this week).

Someone needs to turn that punt return TD into a GIF, there were bodies flailing all over the place. Hilarious.

I know some of you will lose your shit on this, but I'll take 12 more losses just like that one.

Losses like this don't bother me at all since it shows progress at important positions and which positions they still need to obtain (2nd CB, Pass Rusher, Guard, FB, LB) and close losses like this keep them valid while paying off on draft day to help the new Coach out.

Since they ain't goin' anywhere near the playoffs and 7 wins does no more for you than 4...

Not to beat a dead horse here, and you guys might be right but Cribbs is averaging 28.4 Yds. per KR on this short sample size of a season. (9/256/LNG:39) That ain't bad, and every time I watch his returns, I'm amazed how he makes the most out of every one as he possibly can.

Think Cribbs should be much closer to the bottom of the long list of Browns problems.

Those numbers are skewed by week 1 totals.....he had some good returns in week 1, but was pretty awful in week 2. Kid struggled to get back to the 20 on the kickoffs, and wasn't terribly elusive on punts.
