Anyone seen Tyler Nayquin's busttacular start to his pro career?

Meh BA, .384 OBA, no deep power (nice doubles) and an injury shutting him down.

Chizz couldn't seem to take control of a gaping crater at 3B.

Drew is so-so in Denver. White looks marginal.

Are you SURE we can't start to draw any conclusions?

They have a great opportunity to hit rock bottom and have some spectacular darfts for the next 2 - 3 seasons of suck that are almost assuredly upon us given the lack of MLB talent, no real prospects of promise, and an inabilityto spned jack squat. They need to clean out all these FO ass clowns immediately.

Now you have done it. What? You expect draft picks to blossom before they are 30?

Naquin was at .284 with an OBP 100 points higher than that (and all of 15 MLB players are higher than that at the MLB level). His OPS is nearly .800 which would be as advertised. That's at a higher level than he's ever played and follows a complete season of college ball.

You may be on the right track with what you're putting out there.

But Naquin's season and calling it bustacular hurts your case.

Judging a baseball draft pick on his NYPL debut is like declaring Weeden a bust after his first series in the preseason.

Doesn't mean people won't do it, but doesn't make it any less useless.

This is the same thing that was said when Mirabelli took over. I certainly can't speak on Grant's ability but the track record of those making decisions above his level is pretty poor.
