Fight Dr and Bill Henry were the big winners on Day 8. They picked up quality wins while the rest of the fielded tanked with the Mets and Athletics. Fight Dr notched a win with the Padres as they beat the slumping Pirates 3-1. Bill Henry won with the Rays as they bested the Royals 5-1.

The Athletics dealt a loss to 3 players as the Twins jumped on the A's early for the 7-2 win. The Mets lost to the Rockies 3-1 as 15 players were dealt a loss. I looked back in the archives and the Mets have been the giant killers of this pool the last 3 years. On numerous occasions the field has loaded up on the Mets and suffered the same outcome as last night. One look at last night's box score and play by play will tell you everything you need to know about the Mets debacle. I think offseason tee times are creeping into the heads of the Mets players.
