Where the hell is Lars Anderson? Rotting away in Columbus. Damn Dolan too cheap to spring for a rental car to get him here?

Also, it's good to see we brought our A lineup tonight. That should really send a message to the rest of the league.

Was AC admiring that one?

Looked like it should've been a triple.

Lowe stinks again and Tomlin's coming on in relief.

I guess that means Lowe's getting DFA'd after tonights start, Tomlin moving to the pen and Gomez to start on Thursday?!

Or, they stand pat with their rotation as is and move Masterson and Ubaldo up a day after yesterday's off day.

Lowe has a great career ahead of him as a batting practice pitcher.

Think the Indians can just forfeit the rest of the season? Just shut 'er down now. That way, the two or three decent players we actually have don't have to worry about getting injured or anything.

They just cannot trot Derek Lowe out anymore. If he had any chance of getting it together and being an August waiver trade, maybe, but, he's just atrocious. Maybe somebody would claim him when DFA'd, but they can't keep trotting this guy out there.

Take a look at Kluber and see if you have a 5th starter for next season. As it is, you have to hope and pray that McAllister's good enough to be your 3rd. Then you've gotta go find a 2nd/4th, depending on what you think of Ubaldo and Roberto.

Yeah, I know, but we're not going to go get one of those. We're going to hope Masterson transforms back into 2011 Masterson.

Yeah. He has shown enough flashes for that. Even his last start, he was cruising for the first few innings. I think (hope) he could do it.

As for the rest of these chucklefucks, I'm just proud of them if they can get their protective cups on straight.

Well, it's confirmed Kluber is starting Thursday and Tomlin is moving to the pen.

Nothing official yet but.... so long Lowe!

I sat at a bar and watched the Olympics with a friend after the third inning last night.

Then I was informed of something that completely ruined my evening. I went home before I drank too much.

Is it too much to ask for the Dolans to get in a selling mood as well?

It's a start. They need to cut their losses with the rest of the "veteran presence" and dump Damon, Kotchman, and Duncan, too. What's the point in keeping them around now? They can't even do the shaving cream pie gag because we don't f'ing win.

We may as well call up some of the AAA guys and figure out once and for all if they are indeed AAAA guys. I wouldn't mind seeing Fedroff (guy is on a mad tear and isn't THAT old at 25), Canzler, and Goedert. Reward them for their hard work and show the rest of the system you aren't necessarily doomed to rot away in the minors forever. Who knows, maybe they even bring a little enthusiasm with them. It would also clear up a little bit of the logjam going on in Columbus and Akron, too. Bonus.

Absolutely none of these guys looks to be an impact guy, but if even one of them becomes a late-bloomer who's finally getting a chance (like our favorite grinder, Casey Blake), well hell, that's probably better than whatever scrap heap relic we'll sign to an incentive-laded contract this off-season.

Might as well see what these guys can do and at least solve some bench questions for next year. It's not like they're taking at-bats away from anybody relevant.

AMEN. Freedom: another word for nothing left to lose. And if nothing else, maybe bringing up a few guys could give them some trade value.

^That^ Best post of yours all week long. :thumb up: One last AAAA player should come up: LaPorta. Last chance to see, then drop him like a hot rock.
