Roberto Hernandez gets U.S. visa. Must serve 3 week suspension.

How long would it take to get Fauberto into gameday shape ... 6 to 8 weeks?

Wow, I didn't think it would happen at all this year, but if they can hold there own through mid August he COULD come back and be better than just about anything we could trade for.

Judging by the last 6 years, whatever shape Fausto walks off the plane in is pretty much his gameday shape.
Can't wait for another guy in the rotation whose maddeningly inconsistent. That'll make all five !!!!!

I'd assume he takes Lowe's spot, considering Lowe looks like he's running on empty (like last year).
Can he do his AA rehab during the suspension? If so...give him his 4 starts, then bring him up.

Yes, he can pitch in the minors during his suspension.

By all accounts he's been working out in the DR during his current sabbatical, so should be OK shape wise.... the 3 weeks suspension should be ample time for him to pitch in the minors and get into "game shape".
Not sure he's gonna help that much though - he was as maddeningly inconsistent as the rest of this rotation before his long lay off!

Waiting with baited breath for the first pics/video to see what "shape" he's in. After all, round IS a shape.

Curious to see how he comes back. Have to figure a big weight was lifted off of his mind and we all know how he pitches when he's emotional. At the same time, he'll probably try too hard to pitch all the bad press away.

I hear he has the same nutritionist as Dion Waiters.
Even if he can't pitch this year, he's batting .500 from the right side.
My biggest concern is whether MLB2K12 updates his name or not.

What do you mean Akron isn't in the same market as Cleveland? We're close enough to be fucked by it's sports curse.

Heard he was pitching 60-70 pitches during his time in the DR. People have been saying he needs to get that count up to 90-100 to be gane ready. But judging by this staff's latest outings, 60-70 pitches is enough to get him chased by the 5th inning.
At the same time, he'll probably try too hard to pitch all the bad press away.
Guy's gonna give Nuke Laloosh a run for his money w/ the wild pitches his first start back. Half his pitches will go 58' 6" and the other half will have Slider running for cover.
Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger. -JB

So, basically, he's going to be Ubaldo Jimenez?

FWIW, Hernandez is going to make his first minor league appearance in Lake County on Thursday.
