Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.

Purdue hangs with the Bucks for 30 minutes...

...then the football team shows up (kinda like the Akron game)...

Final Score: The Ohio State University 24, Purdue University 6

Game Summary: TOSU is played close for about 35 to 40 minutes, then creates separation half way through the 3rd. The Purdue offense doesn't figure out TOSU's defense at any point.

A very good win, especially on the hells of the Tribe's 2-0 series lead against the Suckees.

Wow, the Bucks look incredible.

14-0 Bucks after 1Q. Purdue's suspect defense is being exposed.

The Bucks defense, on the other hand, seems to be handling the Purdue offense with no trouble so far.

Maurice Wells needs to learn how to pick up the blitz.

Ohio State might be the number one team in the land after tonight is over. USC just lost and LSU is getting beat, crazy.

Picking at Nits

Unread postby mattvan1 » Sun Oct 07, 2007 1:53 am

Discussed with a knowledgeable fan (as opposed to me) that wouldn't it be ironic if this team was actually a more viable BCS Championship team than Version 2007? I believe it could very well happen. Mucho team speed on D, and that bodes well. Love Wells. Big win (not so much the win, but how it happened) tonight.

Picking at nits, did not like the second half at all. Boilermakers adjusted well to the deep threat and B'man throws into double coverage every chance he gets. Purdue DBs made some great, atheletic moves on the ball, but I would have liked to seen 31-0.

Anyway, that is being a bit harsh, and at leat JT coached like someone else in the first half. Great win.

The Big Ten is the New SEC :P :-P
