Figured we should actually start a game thread on time tonight!
Big 4 game series with Detroit and the White Sox playing LA and Boston respectively.

Thanks DAZ!
It's tough when they lose, and you feel like you've started a couple game threads lately and heck, you weren't very good luck anyway (speaking for myself).
Like the optimism!

Choo should have kept running regardless of the HR call. Then we'd have the argument that it'd be an ITPHR if it wasn't actually out.
That's as close a review as it gets.

Was just coming to ask this question. If overturned, at minimum he should be on 3rd.

Agree. That's at least a triple. He was rounding for third before Upton even got to the ball.

I thought that was a HR until that very last replay/still STO showed, definitely not a HR

No matter how hot Brantley is, that's the only way we were scoring a run.

Alex Cobb should take more time between pitches. We'll be done by 10:45 at this rate.

Hope that 1st inning isn't a sign of things to come. Choo has HR overturned that misses by inches. Lopez just a tick out in front of a 2-run jack.
Has the makings of an interesting game.

You have to remember that it's Tampa Bay. They're not real fans and don't know how to behave at a baseball game. Remember when they made the World Series a couple years ago? A bunch of assholes had cowbells then.

Can't watch the game here in SC, but if the pitch track on MLB Gameday is any indication McAllister is getting squeezed big time.

He's really close but they do look off the plate a tad. The ump could give a little off the corner though.

Strike zone's weird. It's pretty narrow, but it's tall. He's calling the middle of the letters with regularity.

I'm getting really tired of Santana backing off the plate any time somebody throws remotely inside.

Around the league, Joey Votto has had knee surgery and is going to miss 3-4 weeks!
Huge blow for the Reds.

WOWWWW
The Reds have had the entire pitching staff intact all year, and only the odd Rolen injury with position players. Votto carried them for several stretches. Bad news for them.
Quentin's price just jumped.

That's crazy about Votto.
Anybody notice the Cleveland fan on STO that they just showed? Takes a chug outta plastic cup of beer with his right hand. Places it in the cupholder and then proceeds to drink a Coors Light can with his left. Double fistin' representin'

I understand Choo's thought process. He's 21-for-105 (.200) against LHP this year, so he's looking for the first fastball. Problem was that it was under the thumbs and jammed him. He knows he's buried if he gets behind in the count against LHP.

Well, Z-Mac better throw a shutout because the mediocre LHP is in the game for TB now so we're not scoring again tonight.

They need to limit that and pitching coach trips. It slows an already snail paced game down even more.
