5-15 day for the field and it easily could have been 0-20 if not for a late rally by the Athletics. For those who backed Strasburg, Santana and Masterson, Friday was a frustrating night. Strasburg lost to the punchless Rockies offense and has lost 3 in a row. Santana was bombed by the Cubs offense in what looked like pre-game batting practice. The Mets almost completed a miracle rally against Marmol, but he snagged a line drive for a game ending double play with runners in scoring position. Masterson was awful last night as the Rays bounced the Tribe 10-3. Just when fans think he has turned the corner, he delivers yet another dud against an offense that came in hitting .209 in their last 10 games.

The Athletics downed the sorry ass Mariners 4-1 in 11 innings. The Mariners blew a 1-0 8th inning lead and lost on a Chris Carter 3 run HR in the 11th. Yeah, most are probably thinking who the hell is Chris Carter. He is a role player who plays like once a week. Big win for those backed the A's.
