Anthony Davis Pro Predictions?

To me, he has bust written all over him. Great defensively, but so was Greg Oden. Just doesn't have an NBA body yet and didn't want to take the time to mature into one. Cousins was different when he came out of Kentucky. I really just can't see Davis being dominant against Dwight, Bynum, Bosh, Lamarcus, Amare and Garnett.

Bust? No. More one diminutional player than is hoped? Possibly. Still the no-brainer 1 overall with a great chance to develop.

No reason for the word 'injuries' in any Anthony Davis conversation, so his name really shouldn't be used in the same sentence as Greg Oden. Davis has a reeeeediculous skillset and amazing hands for somebody so tall. He does lack muscle, but that's pretty damn obvious so I think that problem will be remedied. That being said, will Davis be a flop? All-Star? HOFer? I just don't know yet; time will tell.

There is no comparison to AD and Oden. Oden played only post D. Was rather lethargic and out of shape. Played in spurts. Didn't run floor like AD. Didn't have AD's motor. Looked like a 100 year old man already. And, as others have said, AD's skill set is pretty solid. BTW, Oden is a 5, AD is a 4.

What does that mean? Kid was the #1 pick in the draft. You wanted him to wait for his body to mature before he came out?

Davis is going to be a STUD, end of story. Athleticism and length are off the charts. Could be all-defense as a rookie. Will be a perennial All-Star by his third season at the latest.

He may not bulk up to what Duncan has, but the myth this kid will not grow stronger is silly. He has grown 8 inches in 2 years, his body will catch up and he's going to be outstanding.

OK. Maybe there is potentially, possibly (not probably) one similarity between Oden and AD.

Oden had one leg that was literally longer than the other, needed microfracture surgery before playing and had seriously degerative knee conditions.

That is about as similar to rolling and ankle as red is to white in terms of colors.

He's gonna grow. They all grow. His mass hasn't caught up to his growth spurt from 2-3 years ago. I see similar body type as this guy.

The similarity was an injury between the draft and the season. Just because one injury was career threatening and the other was merely a severe ankle sprain doesn't mean nothing. I just kinda chuckled when I saw the Davis injury and remembered this guy comparing the two as sure busts in the NBA.
