I get the whole "more value as a catcher" argument but, we still don't have a 1Bman - Kotchman has been poor and is only signed through this year anyway so we're going to have to find a replacement next year in any case.
Why not just commit to Carlos at 1B, play Marson behind the plate. Yeah Lou's not much of a hitter but, he can play defense and probably hit .250 in the #9 hole.

Because he isn't very good at first base either.

Hmm. Trying to think this one over. Choo sucks with RISP, so I may actually take Damon over him. I'd take Cabrera and Kip over Damon.
Yeah, you're probably right.
Which is part of the reason why we aren't very good.

Sipp. Davis (LHB), Wieters (hitting far better from right side, but deal with it), Betemit (.164 v. LHP).
