Robinson is a absolutely a better prospect than Barnes, Ross and Waiters.

Woj sources confirm. Me, who cares.

No way in hell they're taking Ross or Waiters at 4, no matter how many writers confirm it. More likely is that they'll "settle" for MKG and then try and trade up if either of them gets to the Hornets at 10.

But it appears they're zoning in on positions rather than BPA. Drummond, for all the deserved hate, is inarguably a better prospect than both Ross and Waiters. But you don't hear his name being bandied about.

They want a scorer at the 2 or 3. Otherwise none of these rumors make sense. Like I said this FO is fucking weird.

I can't imagine them going at #4 with a guy they couldn't work out at the last minute, and not with MKG or Beal or maybe even TRob on the board. Grant likes his prospects, but only if the obvious choices are gone. Think Hickson after they lost out on Hibbert. And this isn't last year where it was Kyrie and then a giant pile of meh, not with what we're hearing about Beal and MKG.

Its either Waiters at 4 if they can't get the guys they want, or they're working something to move up from 24.

Drummond the prospect is something you can't take with TT though, same as T-Rob.

IMO, it is more so protecting their top five pick from last year than it is zeroing in on positions (at least it appeared that way up until the last two days where every late lottery SG is now linked to them at 4.

I get almost all my Cavalier knowledge here, or in links I see here.

You guys seem to agree that TT is too clumsy around the hoop and will never develop an offensive game.

I got 3 guys in my ear - who have lots of legitimate opinions - who note he can rebound and block shots. They say Thompson is only 20 and he can develop a 15 foot jump shot and a post move or two. He'll be a double double guy in the league.

I am so confused.

If TT develops a 15 foot jumper I am motherfucking Santa Claus. HE SHOOTS 43% from the GAWD DAMN FREE THROW LINE!!#$!

Hopefully he can at least learn how to not fumble every third dunk attempt.

His rebounding rates are solid (he also played on one of the worst shooting teams in the league, which really inflates this), his block numbers pretty pedestrian (he has legit potential as a weakside shot blocker though) and his one on one defensive presence is nill (this needs to improve, period).

The guy can be useful down the line, but his very best offensive ceiling is Andy.

Russillo is the best and Ford joining him is interesting.

If the Cavs have 4 and 24 on the table, and no team will take on the Thomas albatross, I can't see how Charlotte doesn't take that deal unless reports are wrong about who they are targeting...

Or if they aren't completely sure that the Cavs wouldn't be trading up to get whoever they are targeting.

Woj reported that Minny offerred Charlotte Derrick Williams for the #2. Charlotte apparantly laughed. If they offered him to the Cavs for #4 would anyone have interest?

I'm guessing no but curious.

I have had no time to do any more than lurk here in forever due to work, but around the draft I can't seem to help myself. How do you trade UP for Bradley Beal when you have Irving's high-school teammate, at a position of need, with legitimate upside and the ability to play on defense and in transition RIGHT NOW, likely sitting for you at 4 without having to move up?

There is a big part of me who thinks that Harrison Barnes is/was the perfect smokescreen dating back to last year and they rode the wave on Bradley Beal just to keep everyone guessing.

There's an argument that Kidd-Gilchrist is the "safe" pick, but he's a legit top-3 pick and was formerly Irving's running mate.

Rumor per Chris Broussard - Cavs offering Varejao to Houston for the #12 pick.

Would seem that an attempt to trade up back into the lottery indicates a desire to take MKG at 4 and a SG with the 2nd pick.

If Stephen Smiths seconds this might have some legitimacy.

If Dunphy swings than he oughtta be arrested or have his name changed to Auerbach. Not seein' it.

Well you have to value an elite SG prospect more than what MKG is bringing to the table, and you would have to consider Barnes as not being an elite SG prospect.

I think Beal is that much better than Barnes. And I just dont feel that bottom third draft picks are very valuable, not for a team that drafts as well as the Cavs do anyways.

I like MKG, a lot. I dont give a shit that he was a former teamate of Irvings, but MKG would be a great pick. I just like Beal better, and I dont see anyone at #24 that would be worth not getting the guy I liked best in this draft. Who is also at a position of need (the Cavs have 4 of those, its not like there is one hole to fill)

If Amick's right, that's Portland trading up to 3.

I'm not sure if Sam's just caught up in the NBA version of Game of Thrones, but if its true then yeah Beal at 4 and Auerdunphy.

I like Beal, his season last year is such a huge concern to me. He didn't have a whole lot "elite" about his game last year. I would take him at 4, just not sure I trade up to get him. Would be pissed if neither Beal or MKG is available at 4.

Trade Andy for #12. You can likely get TRoss at 12. MKG and TRoss, and then a back up big at 24. I'm in.

http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle/post/_/id/30888/is-jared-sullinger-the-steal-of-the-draft

The Celtics taking him at 21 or 22, and after giving him three years to keep shedding weight, learn the ways of the NBA from Boston’s old guys, and get his back problems straightened out; he ends up being Kevin Love 2.0 (guy who plays below the rim but thrives because he’s fundamentally sound with his back to the basket, can use his body to create angles to score, has range to the 3-point line, and is a tenacious rebounder) while playing second fiddle to Rajon Rondo after Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett retire.

Is Jarin Loveinger the steal of the draft? Jesus fucking christ, I thought this was settled. No way that Simmons didn't threaten to fire Titus if he didn't write this up for him.

On top of the completely valid "not having any heart" and "not being able to shoot" questions you now have "long term knee problems" in the equation, so yeah, he could drop that far.

seriously, an MKG/Zeller or Ross/opposite of previous pick draft would be super-duper.

I've been a Zeller guy for months now. Kid runs the floor and can shoot it. Good rebounder, doesn't block shots but he's long enough to alter them.

Agreed 100% on the pairing with Thompson. Actually could benefit TT and mask some of his holes offensively. Allow TT to play weakside.
Playing here is the closest thing to heaven. Really, I mean it's amazing to be in a place where the fans truly cherish their football team and stick behind them win or lose. I can only imagine the conversation an owner will have with their GM in two-three years if Dion Waiters ends up being a bust...

Wait, I cant tell here.....who is he talking about, specifically? :pb: :pb: :gah: :gah:

R U being sarcastic or can't you see this is about waiters?

I am being sarcastic, and I meant about which front office was the hypothetical front office here.

Love the booing of stern. Epic.

Also: at 3:16 on the pregame, ESPN said sully had "bulging dicks" which sounds awesful.
