Today's Indians lineup makes me want to crawl into a corner, get in the fetal position, and sob uncontrollably.

Good news is: Yanks somehow failed to score any runs.
Bad news is: Took Ubaldo about 30 pitches to get 3 outs.

What a great piece of hitting by Shelley Duncan.

Rick Manning is feverishly whacking it under the table.

Gotta love it when the announcers are genuinely shocked at a slump ending Shelley Duncan RBI Double.

Bartolo Colon on the trivia?!

I remember 6 straight Ks to start a game against the Jays way back when...... plus, today is the 10 year anniversary of the Colon trade!

At least Jimenez mowed through the bottom of the order.

Good call on K part, daz. Is he the leader in walks to start a game too?

I'd guess so.... I don't remember it, but I think they were just referring to one pitcher as the answer to both questions.

Anybody starting to get worried that Carlos Santana is just not a good hitter?

Im not worried he isnt a good hitter, the talent is there, Im more afraid he is too hard headed to change is approach and actually attempt to go the other way or learn where and when to cut down his swing. He needs to get his head out of his ass.

Although it is looking more and more likely he will become a Mike Napoli instead of a Ivan Rodriguez (offensively)

They really need some semi-competent RH bats. If Petit stays on the mound they have no shot.

Very aggravating to watch Soriano work away, away, away and no one trying to drive it oppo.

Jimenez is a mechanical disaster. Regardless of how poorly White and Pomz are doing, the Tribe got took.

That mechanical disaster had a 2.78 ERA in June. Say what you want about pitching wins as a stat, but Ubaldo's 7 this year is 1 more than White and Pomeranz combined since they went to Colorado.

He's been a much better pitcher since he stopped throwing 12 splitters per start.

The guy's been a disaster. And even in June, he's nowhere close to what they thought they traded for. Seven wins at a 5.00 ERA doesn't reflect well on Jiminez, it tells you any hump with enough luck can win some games. And he needed luck in two ways, 1. Run support and 2. A team desperate enough to run a 5.00 guy out there.

Look, bagging on the guys performance aside, this is a HUGE mistake by the organization, period. Don't give a shit who they traded or how they do, if you're gonna trade for a pitcher YOU'D BETTER KNOW GOD DAMN WELL WHY HIS VELOCITY IS DOWN. And this doesn't only go for power pitchers, if you wanted to trade for a guy like Tomlin, who's in an 88 range, and he's gone a few months at 84, you GOTTA find out why. So fundamental it ain't funny. To seemingly brush this aside in regard to a guy WHO'S ONLY REAL VALUE AS A PITCHER WAS 96-97 WITH MOVEMENT is beyond ridiculous. Again, you guys talking mechanics and command and all that bullshit - Jiminez never had much of any of em'. 97 with movement will cover up a lot of flaws. 92 with a steady diet of off-speed, well, than you better find command. And since he's never really had it, chances are he'll spend all season looking for it - all of a shitty season. Sprinkled in a decent month? Great. Take all the collective months of guys in the history of the game that throw low nineties with little command and see what you're LIKELY to get for the season.

There's a lot of "mistakes" the Tribe made that we can debate. Trading for a power pitcher sans power, with no real understanding, or inclination for that matter, of why is about as bad as it gets.

The guys has STUNK. He puts his fielders to SLEEP. Period.

And the Tribe had nobody to blame but themselves.

Tough loss yesterday. The Yankees scratched together a run off Vinnie with an infield hit, a bloop single, and a seeing-eye ground ball that found a hole. Three weak hits in a row.

Damon pinch hit with one out and the bases loaded and struck out. His back foot came off the ground on his last swing. I know he has over 2,800 hits, but that swing was pathetic. It was more like a jab at the ball.

Cunningham finally had a productive at-bat when he successfully sacrificed two runners over. Other than that he again failed to get the ball out of the infield.

Too bad Asdrubal couldn't have got a hit in that last at-bat. But he swung at a borderline pitch on the outside corner on a 1-0 count, so that's his fault. You just can't swing at borderline pitches when there are no strikes on you.

The Yankees are 19-5 in June. They're easily the best team in baseball right now. No disgrace to getting swept in NY, but it would have been nice to pull out a win. They'll be tested next month with both CC and Pettitte going on the DL.

Cano is amazing. He's hit 10 HRs in June - not bad for a second baseman. He hit a very good pitch for an opposite field HR and also drilled a single to right. And you can't really pitch around him with Texiera and Ibanez on deck.

As for the Tribe, they slog on without any offense at left field or first base or catcher, two starters struggling, and another starter just demoted. It's not looking good. They're going to have to trade for an every day right-handed bat in left field and hope Pronk gets hot when he returns and stays healthy. That and hope Lowe and Tomlin can steady themselves out. That's too many things to go right in the same season.

As opposed to the night before with the Tribe smacking lead off doubles but stranding those runners. At least those were "real" hits. Give me a team that puts the ball in play, then takes advantage of it with "weak" hits. Chavez RBI hit wasn't really a seeing eye single either. He put that right between 1st and 2nd and Choo had a chance to throw out Tex at home. Seeing eye single and Tex is scoring standing

Damon pinch hit with one out and the bases loaded and struck out. His back foot came off the ground on his last swing. I know he has over 2,800 hits, but that swing was pathetic. It was more like a jab at the ball.
Have you watched Damon most of his career? His back foot almost always comes off the ground. Frank Thomas was the same way
Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger. -JB

If I went to the plate against him 3 times and never swung, he'd put me on base twice and I'd see 15 pitches.

Eventually he'll groove a 3-1 fastball at 91 that will get hit 400 ft, regardless of ballpark.

I'm not his Fan Boi.
