Kipnis was behind Cano, Kinsler and Pedroia.

Cabrera behind Jeter, Andrus and Hardy.

No Top 5 catcher or 1B and no Top 15 OFs.

And fwiw, after Cano who gives a shit? Kipnis and Kinsler are essentially a dead heat and Pedroia is in the mix regardless of how much people hate him. None of them after Cano are special in terms of numbers they're putting up.

But Cabrera is getting effed in the ear. You could argue for Andrus (not successfully, but a case could be made) but Hardy and Jeter ahead of Asdrubal are criminal.

Frankly, if I'm a GM or an owner, I'm pissed that the fans continue to vote for the starters. The game actually means something now as it determines home field. Sometimes the fans get it right and vote in the right guys. Most of the time, they don't. But, you could be forced into giving 2-3 at bats to lesser players while better players may not even step to the plate.

Sometimes the fans get it right and vote in the right guys. Most of the time, they don't. If I was an owner, I'd tell the other owners to get their heads out of their asses and forget allowing this stupid game to mean anything.

Of course, if I was an owner I'd probably fall in line with all the other stupid decisions MLBs a part of, cause I'd only care about one thing. And that thing clearly has zero to do with the good of the game.
