The maps show that if sea levels rise just 2.5 feet, it could take little more than a Nor’easter to put much of the Back Bay, East Boston, South Boston, Chelsea, Cambridge, and elsewhere underwater,


Although you can imagine the trash.

We've had public talks by VIMS and NOAA about the impact of sea level rise on the area. Factor in the fact that most of this area is built on sand spits and filled-in wetlands, the ground is sinking as well.

It would be a shame to lose this area. Not so much Boston.
