Yes because the way to break out of a slump is by not playing. He's not playing because his presence is detrimental at the moment. Coaches will just have you believe that it is 'to give him a day off to clear his head blahh...Blahh' Because they can't have the player know that his junk performances are killing his team.
Nonsense

Glad Hammy will be back soon. My ears hurt when Rosie calls a game. And then they usually has a knowledgeable, smart former player in the color guy's chair and I remember how bad Rosie is sitting in the second chair. I miss Hegan too....

Generally speaking, yes. But he just got a hit, stole a base, and scored a run. I'd say this was bad timing on your part. ;-) ;)

I'd rather have him up in a key spot than Santana right now.

There will be better glove work and displays of throwing accuracy after this game when old men play catch with kids.

If I were Gomez I'd take AC and a lead bat out back after the game and beat the crap out of AC slow and hard.

Normally I hate IWs because it seems the pitcher then has a hard time finding the strike zone for the next batter. This time Gomez managed to throw a perfectly placed DP ball...and then the ball went to Cabrera. :gah:

Tomorrow night is the Asdrubal Cabrera bobbleHEAD give-away night. Methinks they have the wrong part of the figurine bobbling on his. Image

Go home AC.... frying pan in the field and then jog out of the box and get thrown out at 2B.

Fucking inexcusable.

Yep. I can deal with the error. Shit happens. Went to flip before he secured the ball. Yeah, it killed his pitcher and yeah, it probably cost them the game or at least a chance to be in the game.

But to be one of the few leaders on this team and a guy who called out Santana a year ago for lack of effort in front of his teammates, that pathetic effort running to 2B in the 9th is indefensible.

White Sox going to extra innings in LA after the Dodgers tied it up in the 9th off Addison Reed.

Bit of a controversial call in the 9th as Ventura went to his closer after Quintana spun 8 shutout innings allowing only 5 hits. Quintana was at only 77 pitches (55 strikes), didn't walk a batter and K'd 6.

Strange move.

Hey, at least it proves that it isn't just the Tribe that Quintana shuts down - he's now got a 1.53ERA on the year!

I listened to half of it on the way back to the motherland, watched the last 2 innings. I was very animated about AC getting hosed at second on the ball off the wall.

Trying to get downtown Tuesday night. Fuckers.

Absolutely, but sitting through that dud was well worth it by getting to play catch on the field after the game. I've played catch with my 7 year old only twice before, she had a better fielding percentage than Asdrubal today. It made it a pretty cool Father's Day.

The first error was a freak play where the baserunner was standing on the bag screening him and forced an off-target throw. No runs scored on the play. Gomez then gave up the 3-run homer. Yeah, Droobs made a bad throw, but it was by no means a routine play, and the home run was Gomez's fault.

The other two errors came on what looked like a bad hop where the ball came up and hit the heel of his glove and bounced out. He tried to swat it to Kipnis covering second but the ball was wide and rolled far enough to allow two runs to score. Then Rogers gave up the other 3-run homer.

The only thing I blame Asdrubal for was the bad judgment in trying to swat the ball to Kipnis, but in the end it didn't matter since the next batter homered. The Indians pitchers were idiots as they kept throwing him low inside fastballs. Didn't they have a scouting report?

And getting thrown out at second after breaking into a home run trot was ugly, but down four runs in the 9th it didn't affect the outcome.

Droobs is having a great season. Today was just not his day.
