Tribe at Reds 6/13/12. Lowe vs. Latos

Unread postby googleeph2 » Wed Jun 13, 2012 3:22 pm

Last night aggravated me.

I am optimistic once again, however.

Today, we should get a shot at a suddenly-struggling Reds bully.

Indians
Choo RF, Cabrera SS, Kipnis 2B, Santana C, Brantley CF, Damon LF, Kotchman 1B, Chisenhall 3B, (Lowe P)

Reds
Heisey CF, Valdez SS, Votto 1B, Phillips 2B, Bruce RF, Frazier 3B, Ludwick LF, Hanigan C, (Latos P)

This series, kind of hard to blame not hitting on lefthanded pitching.

You weren't the only one.

Would be great to take the next two of this series. Then last nights game won't seem so bad.

Glad the Thunder stole my interest last night, or it would have been a bad evening of sports.

Asdrubal must pop up more than any other hitting not called Johnny Damon.

Those outs are worse than a called strike 3 with the bases loaded.

Latos has a really nice breaking ball in the early going.

If he keeps that up it's gonna be a frustrating night.

Lowe had Phillips struck out. Ump gave him a fourth strike and he singled.

Would much rather be facing Leake tonight.

Zzzzzzzz.

The Indians are becoming the Browns. Every time they score, you better savor it because you might not see it again for a loooooooooooooooong time.
Bottom 4th: Cleveland
- J. Kipnis grounded out to shortstop
- A. Cabrera doubled to deep left
- N. Swisher doubled to center, A. Cabrera scored
- J. Giambi doubled to deep right center, N. Swisher to third, N. Swisher out at home
- J. Giambi caught stealing, catcher to third

1 run, 3 hits, 0 errors

Seriously, why the flip is Santana STILL in the 4 hole? He doesn't even have quality at bats anymore. I can't remember the last time he laced a ball anywhere. He is killing the offense like Ubaldo was killing the pitching staff earlier in the season.

What can't Derek Lowe do??? Who knew he'd be this good for us? Makes the front office look smart in this singular case.

He's got that going for him, which is nice.

Made a half-assed attempt to look up highest AL Left on Base. Couldn't find shit. Therefore I will just go ahead and say that the Tribe's in the top 4.

Coming into tonight Latos has allowed 11HR in just 43.2IP at GABP

You'd never have guessed it with the way he's pitching tonight.

If he was a better player, he'd expect an apology; but since he's not, you're fine.

Phillips salutes the Indians dugout tagging 3rd. Still a giant douche bag.

Douche bag with a lot of talent.

Anyone fancy us to get 3 runs off Chapman in the 9th??

It's kinda of sad to see that we've now given a combined 411ABs to Kotchman, Duncan and Damon and they have combined for a slash line of .202/.285/.311/.597

Major black hole at the bottom of the lineup - not that any of us needed the stats to prove it!

How about RA Dickey??

8 innings of 1-hit ball with 12Ks tonight against the Rays - that guy is some kind of hot right now.

ERA at 2.22 and 4 straight starts without giving up a run - 32.2 consecutive innings!

And then Matt Cain one-ups him throwing a perfect game.

The Mets are supposedly going to appeal the one hit that Dickey allowed. Seems like bad karma considering Santana got his no hitter on a ball that was wrongly ruled foul.

I can't believe Latos came in with an ERA of 4.85. He looks like a much better pitcher than that. Of course, putting Damon, Kotchman, and Chiz in the lineup at the same time along with the pitcher really limits your scoring chances.

Damon still can't catch a deep fly ball. If you make him turn his back he's lost. Not quite as bad as Manny leaping to catch a ball that hit him in the foot, but not far off.
