Like Eye, I'm not just a Cleveland fan. I'm an NBA fan. If you can't see what LBJ did inthe same vein as anyone on the NBA's Mt Rushmore, I can't help. This would be like as if Wilt had won 72 vs Boston & not NY. It will be a great moment for one of the all-time greats who has been unfairly maligned, one of our own, when he wins the O'Brien. It'll be like MJ in 91.
He finally dialed in the way he needs to like when he was here before the LeQuit but now with a supporting cast that isn't the DC Generals.

He's talented enough that he could win multiple titles without ever having to do much in the clutch, but excuse me for not being excited about it. He still willingly disgraced this area and never apologized for it.

The bottom line with LeBron hasn't changed, until he gets it done he simply can't get it done. Even then if he gets a ring (this year or next) it WILL have an asterisk b/c he is playing along side a top 3 or 4 talent in the association.
The difference between LeBron and the other ATGs is with LeBron it is always "who is he going to be surrounded by to help him get it done". While the former ATGs all made their supporting casts who they were. LBJs legacy is already etched.

When you get done doing pull ups off LBJ and Spo's crank you can guess why.

Good god almighty.
Bird made Parish and McHale?
Magic made Kareem?
Shaq made Kobe? Or did Kobe make Shaq?
The guy is a piece of shit, but that is seriously the most fraudulent piece of support for an argument ever.
Jordan is about the only guy that argument holds any water for, and even Pippen is better than anything James has played with. Wade is barely in the discussion at this point as a superstar and probably behind Pippen as the worst Robin.

C'mon. Coach Spo coaxed a great game out of LBJ and got the talented players around LBJ to shoot damn near 30%. But he did get the Heat defense to make the C's miss many, many open looks!!!!! That is defense through coaching and role player intimidation!!!
I'm sure it'll be enough tomorrow night too. Always was before when LeBron put up monstrous games. Especially against the C's!!!!
They always die when you bury them!!!!

Is Kevin Garnett not a top 5 PF because he didn't win a title without Pierce and Allen?
Is Karl Malone a stiff?
Is John Stockton?
Dan Marino?
To a hoops historian, he is going to go down as top 3 players in the history of the game. 0 rings or 8. He will continue to get killed in the now, and zero rings will always be an asterisk next to his name in the future. But that is all it will be, an asterisk. A footnote on page 1 of his list of accomplishments.

If the Cs keep the Heat in check early in the game and not let them get on a roll early, they have a chance.
I have heard commentators make this analogy about the Heat, and I agree. They are front-runners. They are awesome when everything goes well. They don't deal with adversity very well.
I do think there were two dangers for the Heat attack in game 6. Yes, LBJ was lights out. However, if you bank on LBJ making that many Js to win consistently, you are walking a line that LBJ has walked before. We called it LeSettle. I also think when he takes so many shots, and the Celts hang around, when "someone else" needs to hit a shot, they are in no rhythm whatsoever since they haven't shot in a day or two.
Maybe that is just wishful thinking. But we have all seen both sides of the Heat.

I don't think any of those guys are choke artists per se. I don't think any less of them as players nor do I think that LBJ is anything other than maybe the greatest physical talent with the greatest overall skill set I've ever seen.
His game last night eclipses pretty much anything I've seen and I thought Rondo's game a few nights ago was great.
What makes LBJ a choke artist is the fact he's choked. What makes him a quitter is the fact he's quit.
When you're the self-proclaimed Chosen One and the self proclaimed King you reap what you sow.
Keep telling me you can throw 98mph consistently at some point I want to see you do it. If you don't tell me how great you are I'm more surprised by your greatness than I am disgusted with your bragging and the way you carry yourself.
Never been about skills and greatness. He has both a thousand times over. Always (for me only) been about his mouth writing checks his ass can't cash.

Also, it should be noted that you and I were shocked to see that from Rondo.... we expect that from LBJ which is the most unfair level ever set.

Is OKC's big three not better than Miami's (let's call Harden one of the three to throw in with Bosh). OKC can play a little better defense on Bosh if it comes down to Westbrook/Durant's production vs. Bron/Wade who you bettin' on?
