Here here
Probabaly my first true favourite player. Although I did love Ellis Burks when I first started watching baseball and following the Indians.

That first inning 2B was the best swing Santana's had in a month.

Love watching Tomlin pitch. Even when he's getting knocked around. Quick, no bullshit, pounds zone.

He may have thrown 3 scoreless but, for some reason, I don't have a good feeling about Tomlin against this lineup.

I think we may need more than the two runs we've got already.

I'm going to be generous and say that those two limp dick ground balls were productive outs.

Awesome play by Descalso.

Westbrook's got a strong changeup tonight. He hasn't thrown enough of them.

Descalso really robbed us of a big inning right there.

Still, nice to see another good swing from Carlos.

Josh Tomlin is really changing speeds well. Just knows how to pitch. Obviously, with his stuff, you have to know how to pitch and have a plan for attacking hitters. Really fun to watch.

Tomlin only at 52 pitches. If he continues to keep the Cards off the board he should go the distance. Which will be handy since Pestano and Perez have been taxed recently.

If we hold on to win this game then I fancy our chances to take the series. The National League makes Lohse look like a really good starter but really he is average at best. His ERA in his career against the Tribe is well over 5, although it's a completely different Indians team to the ones he faced as a Twin, and I think we can score a few off of him tomorrow. Then they have the rookie going on Sunday, making his debut (which we know can go either way with our hitters.)

I don't doubt it.

Tomlin might be our 9th best hitter.

In no particular order: Cabrera, Kipnis, Choo, Santana, Brantley, Lopez, Chisenhall, Kotchman...

Maybe somebody else?

I think Acta's trying to get Tomlin through this inning because he leads off next inning and he's better than any bench option.

I love hitting and running with pitchers at the plate. And the hit and run in general. It forces the ultimate concentrration on putting the ball in play. I'd actually like to see Acta make Santana hit and run more often, just to cut down his swing and focus on getting the bat on the ball.
