Pacquiao v. Bradley

Unread postby Govbarney » Thu Jun 07, 2012 7:27 pm

Long shot, but I am desperate to see Saturdays Pacman v Bradley fight , I think two things will happen. (1) It will be a great fight, and (2) Pacquiao will lose.

Problem is I have called 4 BW3s, and 2 Roosters in the CBUS area , and none are showing it. Does anyone know of some bars in the Columbus area who are going to show this fight, I don't want to end up watching what I think will be a classic fight on a less the legit feed on my computer.

I think Pac Man is going to tear him apart.

He knows he needs to have a stellar performance and I think he's gonna deliver it. Marquez is just his foil, styles make fights. Think about what he did to Cotto. I think Bradley is a good matchup for him and hes gonna dominate it. I also think Bradley's a little overrated.

We'll see though - I also predicted Manny would tear JMM apart in their most recent fight.

Bradley wins. And it won't be that difficult.

Seems to be more and more popular now that we're getting into the weekend. I still think Pac gets him late, but the late movement definitely has me raising an eyebrow.

So I guess this means we won't see The Wife Beater vs The Vicious Homophobe anytime soon.

Homophobe won. But the "judges" decided otherwise.

I hope Arum gets hit by a bus.

Boxing has become an absurd fringe sport and will never recover.

I didn't watch it.
I just can't bring myself to watch boxing anymore because of things like this. It happpens all the time.
The best fights hardly ever happen. The promotors have ruined the sport and the judges and refs make it even worse.
I was a huge Timothy Bradley fan too and I still couldn't talk myself into ordering it, and I won some $ on him too for what it's worth.
The only guy I can honestly watch is Andre Ward.

MMA is so much better, I have been telling people that for years now.

I watched this fight last night with a few adult beverages in me thinking it was BS, I just watched it again this morning with a clearer head, and still think its BS. Only thing I can say for Bradley is he was far more aggressive, but regardless it doesn't take much to see who landed more punches, and who had the upper hand. It really should have been a pretty easy decision. In the end I am not surprised, Nevada judges are as incompetent/ crooked as they come.

Buying boxing PPVs or investing yourself in the sport is akin to being a Browns season ticket holder for the last 10-12 years (and I was one of those): you have no one to blame but yourself when this happens.

I stopped buying PPVs years ago because this shit is all too common. I sold this season of Browns tix to friends of friends. Maybe I'm learning. Only took 45 years.

Sport has hit an all time low and that's saying A LOT.

Not being able to make the Pac Man/Floyd fight despite the fact each fighter would make over 50 mill ... followed up by this travesty last night. Its unfathomable. Pacquiao beat the living shit out of him for 8-9 rounds and then treaded water for the last 3, as I would have as well if I beat up my opponent for the first 9.

How any sane human being sitting ringside could have Bradley winning 7 rounds ... it just makes zero sense.

The whole thing is just so fucking shady. Bradley changed promoters cause they promised him this fight with their #1 guy. Then this bull shit? And a rematch where everyone involved will double down on their profits from last night? Shady.

Boxing is essentially dead. And the measures needed to revive it are unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Sad.

No way? Boxing is a joke? Who could have seen that coming?

Wonder how much extra cash everyone makes on the rematch?
