The 5th Annual TheClevelandFan.com Golf Outing

Unread postby swerb » Sat Jun 02, 2012 11:17 am

Saturday, August 25th at Little Mountain Country Club in Concord. Let me know if you're in or want me to hold you a spot or a foursome. We've had 100 players almost right on the nose each of the first four years.

The event is always an excellent time attended by a great group of people. Included is access to the driving range before the round, lunch, keg beer all day, a steak dinner and open bar after the event. And of course, 18 holes of golf on a championship caliber course.

Also, as always, we'll have several thousand dollars of prizes we'll be giving away after the round. Everyone leaves with something. We'll also give cash prizes away to the winning team, long drive on #10, and closest to the pins on the par threes. And have $1000 in skins money. Last year we had someone knock in a hole in one! She scored like $500 for the skin & closest to the pin.

All the details on the outing can be found at the outing website: http://www.tcfgolfouting.com/index.php

Let me know if you want me to hold you a spot.

Nice! First time playing in it for you. Fired up Al.

Good time. We set aside well over $1000 JUST for the alcohol for the event.

Damn, I will be doing a road trip to Cooperstown and Boston that weekend with my Pops and older brothers. First time we've ever done anything like that. I really wanted to play in your outing this year but it will have to wait again. The way I played in our office challenge at Shawnee yesterday, I wanted to make an appearance and possibly win a few $.

When I google the course, as I type in Little Mountian Country, the first result I get is Little Mountian Country Club, but the 2nd is Little Mountian Country Club Cart Girls. Now I think I know why the outing is here every year.

That just sounds wrong.

The only way i'd show up is if I could get shitfaced and drive a golf cart around as I please and blow an air horn in Swerb's backswing.

I'm not coming.

Record crowd for this thing this year.

Already 124 confirmed. Talked to the course, can take it up to 136. 12 spots still open.

Just read the rules that each foursome has to use at least three tee shots from every player. I feel really bad for my group.

I haven't been able to see the people registered to play up on the site.

Is that available or is it being worked on?

Just interested to see which a-holes are back and which a-holes are new ;-) ;) :nanner:

^I'm an old hat at being an asshole, just ask the wife or any family member. :thumb up: Unfortunatley I couldn't be a new asshole at the outing. Couldn't get the date to work out for our foursome.

They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. I gotta load the player list to the site.

Up to 128 players. Some Twitter followers in the mix this year. And can actually go to 144.

Nice! Should be quite a battle as a 140 of them fight it out for 2nd place. Also looking forward to a 1/4 of that $1400 in skins cash.

Nope. But I've played a couple courses that are lower on that list, and they are pretty nice so I'm really fired up to play at LM.

Been playing once a week down here (which gets expensive) to make sure I'm ready. Really fired up, wish it was this weekend.

We're playing shirts and skins? Christ. I'd really like to be on a team where I can keep my shirt on.

Looks like an amazing event. I will try to see if I can get out to Cleveland late next summer, my son's football season will make it tough, but I really would like to give this a shot next year.
Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.
