Prayers/Thoughts needed....

Unread postby Bayou Tribe » Thu Feb 21, 2008 10:21 pm

Man, this isn't usually my style to post something like this but a buddy of ours who tailgates for LSU games with us got in a pretty bad car accident this morning. He's about 20, laid up in the hospital and it isn't looking too good for him right now with serious head injuries.

Tonight, if you guys could say an extra prayer for him or just wish him or his family the best (if you're not into the prayer thing) it would be much appreciated. I've known him for many years now and it has been a hectic day for our crew to say the least.

Thanks for the thoughts,

BT

Thoughts and prayers on a recovery. This can't be easy on family or friends. Best of luck to him on recovering.

Just wanted to give you guys an update. They're starting to do little things to bring him out of the coma and see how he responds. This morning they took him off of the respirator and he is breathing on his own. So good news there, but still not out of the woods. Alot of fight left in that dog though.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers, hopefully more good news on the way.

Had to dig this one up from way back...

Brad passed away yesterday morning, after 4+ year of post-accident life. He never really progressed past being in a vegetative state, so this news comes with some bit of relief to the family and close group around him. Sad to see him go, but maybe this is the best outcome.

Sorry to crap on an otherwise good day. We're heading to LSU in a little while for Game 1 of the NCAA Super Regionals. Gonna throw together a jambalaya and toast a few while remembering a great LSU fan, a hell of a saltwater fisherman, and a good friend.

I know work and life and bullshit gets trying sometimes, but keep the loved ones close and enjoy the downtime, fellas. Never know when life will throw you a curve.

Appreciate it, guys.

What he's been doing for the last 4 years is far from "living", so it's mixed emotion for all of us. We all had alot of time to come to the realization of what would eventually be.

Condolences, Bayou. My brother in law drowned last summer while kayaking. It's horrible but it is also an I casional reminder we sadly need that family and friends (not CDT) are important and shouldn't be taken for granted. It only takes a minute for life to be altered or ended and if nothing else, that's a 'coachable' moment for all of us.

Sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear the news Bayou. Most of what gets said in times like this is cliche, but it's all true. Piggy backing of what peeker said, you usually never now when it's the last time you've said goodbye to someone.

Sorry to hear that Bayou. Thoughts and prayers reach out to you down in ole Baton Rouge
Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger. -JB
