Because the Wizards probably have 2-3 guys they want. They can move down to 4 and still get one of those guys and pick up more ammo with later picks. The Wizards can get who they want (Robinson maybe) and get more guys later.

T-Rob's ceiling is a thirdish best player on a playoff team, Barnes ceiling is fourth or fifth.

Those are guys need to build a contender, but when you are married to Tristan Thompson you're essentially building the roster backward.

I can't imagine after a year of watching him play that anyone in the Cavs org sees TT as anything BUT a future replacement for Andy. Athletic big who can rebound and will play solid defense, but needs scoring around them to offset the inadequacies.

I've seen two mocks that have MKG and Beal being available at #4, and while I don't believe either of them, i'd run through a wall i'd be so excited. Get Fab Melo or Quincy Miller at 24, maybe Doron Lamb if he's available......now you have some high upside scoring ability.

Unfortunately, you're still up shite creek with no talented bigs. You'd need to hope there is at least a Perkins/Kaman/Nene type that you hit on in next year's draft, because I agree that the mock above or Wojo's mock would have Cleveland in the 8-15 range next year.

Not disagreeing but seems like that isn't consensus around NBA writers today. Maybe this morphs into a 3 player draft but right now 2-9 seem interchangeable from mock to mock although MKG is the only one I haven't seen past 4. That probably means this becomes a consensus 2 player draft. Besides that's easier on writers who don't like to think too hard.

MKG is the only guy I'd be estatic about at 4 but I am pretty sure he'll move to consensus #2 over the next week. And FWIW I don't think the Cavs will let TT stand in their way if they feel they can get a standout PF. I'm terrified that they are going to do what they did with TT and go all physical upside while ignoring college production and actual basketball ability and get Drummond or Barnes.

Also I still think Sullinger should be in the mix at 4. He's as good a bet as anyone to be a NBA starter on a playoff team and I feel like he could pair well with Irving. He's going to be able to score in the NBA and like Beal (and Irving) he just seems to know how to play basketball. Big men who play small bother me but so do SGs that play inside all day long, lazy centers, and guys like Barnes who aren't entirely sure what the fuck he's supposed to do with that big orange sphere in his hand.

MKG is the only guy I'd really be estatic about at 4. I don't really know what you see in Beal that makes you elevate him over the rest of the top-10 pack. I just can't get any more excited over an undersized SG without a great outside shot but with a good BB IQ over guys with no IQ and tons of talent or big guys with IQ and question marks at the NBA level.

Also can't we just trade our #4 and our next two #1s for Davis? Maybe throw in our first second round pick? That's JUST like what Dan Synder did. Makes perfect sense.

If you are reading a mock draft with Barnes going ahead of Beal or MKG you are wasting your time. You could be doing something more productive, like watching paint dry.

Drummond "seems" interchangable because he showed up 22 pounds lighter and said some good things when he worked out this week, so now "HE HAS SEEN THE LIGHT!!!"

T-Rob is only even remotely possible in the top three because Charlotte has a decent defending all around wing in Henderson and a very strong defensive center in Biyombo, a T-Rob grab would be a pure "need scoring to put next to Biyombo" pick and would be reaching.

I would love if you were right, but I don't know how in love they are with Jordon Crawford. I know he put up good numbers for them this year, but I think they wouldn't hesitate to upgrade and trade him. I hope I'm wrong though.

With Booker, Vesely and Crawford they are going to be replacing some young talent they recently drafted.... I don't understand how they don't just go BPA in that situation.

Although a T-Rob/Nene/Booker front court rotation could be pretty damn tempting.

I just don't see how they value Nick Young II as more than a scorer off the bench.
