I wasn't planning on commenting on this topic, but by popular demand...My take is we need to do whatever it takes to get a power forward who can dunk.

And unless someone reaches for Drummond they are ending up with one of those three, pretending like MKG is falling past two is hilarious and Beal *should* go three.
This draft is CLEARLY Davis/MKG/Beal with Drummond as a wild card because he can jump real high and is huge, but has been a lazy fuck since high school with zero basketball IQ.
Frankly, Barnes probably makes the most sense... that is just how MEH this draft is after the top three.

Well, that's two more players than in last year's draft and there is always that chance that dumbass Jordan brings Barnes down the road.![]()
And yeah... someone find the last time a team moved from four to two for that 4th pick and some hogpiss at 23 or whatever.
I have no idea what Karma has to do with any of this though. Unless you're still beating the drum of the guy letting his dying kid sit up there and be someone for a while.

• I'll have a Mock Draft coming out Thursday, but here's a possible preview/projection, courtesy of a front-office man whose team is in the top five. New Orleans takes Davis, followed by Charlotte taking Kansas forward Thomas Robinson, Washington taking Kentucky small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Cleveland taking North Carolina small forward Harrison Barnes and Sacramento taking Florida shooting guard Bradley Beal.

Those are guys need to build a contender, but when you are married to Tristan Thompson you're essentially building the roster backward.
MKG and Beal at least have second best player upside.
by rebelwithoutaclue » Thu May 31, 2012 10:52 am
I can't imagine after a year of watching him play that anyone in the Cavs org sees TT as anything BUT a future replacement for Andy. Athletic big who can rebound and will play solid defense, but needs scoring around them to offset the inadequacies.

MKG is the only guy I'd really be estatic about at 4. I don't really know what you see in Beal that makes you elevate him over the rest of the top-10 pack. I just can't get any more excited over an undersized SG without a great outside shot but with a good BB IQ over guys with no IQ and tons of talent or big guys with IQ and question marks at the NBA level.

They are looking for character and toughness in a big and will be sending their Thomas Robinson pick in before David Stern finishes saying MKG's name at 2 for the 'Cats... or they'll trade the pick to a team desperate for backcourt help in exchange for a young solid big man.
