My guess would be Ascencio DFA'd.

Wouldn't surprise me if they also optioned Sipp out as well and called up a guy like Barnes or Herrmann to give them some length out of the pen for a series or two.

My guess would be Asencio DFA'd for Herrmann.

Can they move Santana to the 15-day? Hafner could go on the 15-day retroactive to May 23. But, then we go to STL and CIN for interleague.

They could also DFA Duncan.

But again, someone has to go to make room for Tomlin. Obviously, Diaz was supposed to be the guy, but with Cabrera out, I cannot see them going with Hannahan at SS and Lopez at 3B, and sending Diaz back. I guess they could also just DFA Ascensio and go with six relievers for a couple of days, until ACab can go.

What's this we crap.

In a couple of days when the team is 3 back you'll be all like "are they still in 2nd place".

Yeah, I'm talking about two moves. DFA Asencio for Herrmann. Santana/Hafner to 15-day/DFA Duncan, Tomlin activated.

Thursday at 5pm it was ticket selling on the World Series bus.

And today it's this.

Clockwork.

To be fair, the difference in performance between the two series is incredible. To go from one to the other is pretty shocking, all things considered.

Not shocking in the least. Lose 3-4-5 in your lineup and get those 'regression to means' efforts from Lowe and Gomez and "shit sandwich" every day effort from Ubaldo and what's shocking, and I mean really shocking, is that the enter the last week of May in the top spot.
