Carlos Santana was put on the 7 day Concussion DL list.

So, Laser Lou better start hitting.

What is more depressing? Jose Lopez as the cleanup hitter? Or the fact that there doesn't appear to be a better option available?

How about the fact that we called up a guy batting .222 in AA to fill a roster spot and pinch run, only to have him start a day later. :bunny:

The lineup makes me sad.

Lowe's gotta love his chances for a win today.

Watch, we'll score 12.

OT

LOL - Fuckin' Wedge. Some things never change:

http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/05/25/eric-wedge-sits-dustin-ackley-on-his-bobblehead-day/

Tonight is Dustin Ackley bobblehead night at Safeco Field. However, Ackley isn’t playing. Manager Eric Wedge said he’s resting his second baseman, even though the Angels are throwing a right-hander.

Which is just plain stupid.

Reminds of when he gave DH Travis Hafner a day off a few years back (for no real reason)in the midst of an incredible hot streak (that's how I remember it anyway). It was like dunking him in a cauldron of ice water.

Worst time for Lowe to go to what he will likely be for most of the season. I really hate the Sox and really want to win this series. Chicago are on one of those hitting streaks that will make the dumb asses at ESPN believe they are legit contenders (which they are not)

Thanks. If you don't mind I'd prefer Bourbon. More fun with the same knock-out results.

I like it better when Joe Smith is blowing up in beer joints than in the game.

I can hear him yelling at the Sox "DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM???" while they were bludgeoning the baseball.

Opening Day last season. Tribe got their asses kicked by the CHW in the first 2 games..... then the Indians went on to kick asses themselves and played very good baseball. Hope history repeats itself... Minus the wheels falling off

Today's lineup. My goodness. Regardless of the circumstances, if your lineup looks like this--even if it was just one day--you just cannot look at that team as a serious contender for anything. I'm glad they were on the road for this, 'cause no one wants to pay money to see this kind of horsebleep.
Bottom 4th: Cleveland
- J. Kipnis grounded out to shortstop
- A. Cabrera doubled to deep left
- N. Swisher doubled to center, A. Cabrera scored
- J. Giambi doubled to deep right center, N. Swisher to third, N. Swisher out at home
- J. Giambi caught stealing, catcher to third

1 run, 3 hits, 0 errors
