About damn time someone challenges that stupid law. Hopefully its only a matter of time before Dan Gilbert opens up his Sportsbook on the 5th floor of the Higbee building

NBA probably will have no part of that. Not sure how they did it at Palms with Maloofs but surely Cavs and likely NBA wouldn't be wagered on, correct?
And is there a giant need what with the online sports books still available?

Its only a matter on time before they kill the offshores , like they are currently killing online poker.
And a lot of banks (to include mine ) will not allow you to deposit funds to the Offshore sites, but will allow you to deposit to legit gambling sites like TVG.

Kings games were not allowed on the board at Palms, IIRC.
Being in a sportsbook >>>>> online wagering. What is the point of a casino with all of the online possibilities?

Agreed. No chance that Gilbert can get a sportsbook.

Nope. Not at all. A lot of books will still take US deposits. Some won't, like Pinnacle, but there are no shortage of offshores willing to take your money.
A God Damn dead man would understand that if a minor league bus in any city took a real sharp right turn, a Zack McCalister would likely fall out. - Lead Pipe
