Starting Game threads thread

Unread postby bookelly » Mon May 21, 2012 7:42 pm

Pretty inexcusable we missed two consecutive games without a thread. I can't do it cause I'm like, 1- 15. I therefor humbly present a list of unofficial rules:

#1 - You start a game thread and win...you start the next one. If you're not gonna be around start it early, even just after the game you won. Lineups can be filled in later.

#2 - In order; Watt, the two Brits (Daz over BP - Daz has been this years Watt), and AmIhereagain have precedent. They seem to win more than anyone else.

#3 - Post the lineups if/when you can, clever nicknames are always appreciated.

Short of that, why can't/don't the mods start threads if nobody does it?

/If I missed anyone with a good record I appologize, feel free to comment below.

That run Watt had in 2007 was amazing.

I remember busting out the "We are all Watt-nesses" sig line graphic.

I'm always around during games I'm not at, but I have an awful record starting game threads, so I never do it.

I like having them, even if I use them for the same thing every night - bitch about Johnny Damon.

My fiancee gets tired of listening to me during games. Need somewhere to post my thoughts, whether they get read or not.

If you consider "winning more than anyone" to be having a maybe-.500 record I'm your girl! So far this year I'm 1-2. I even went bank an checked last year's games; in threads I started I was either .500 or one below. I forgot already - and I'm NOT going back to recount! Image

I was going to start one on Saturday but after my comment on Mother's Day about being the Twins of thread starters I was afraid to doom the Tribe to another loss. But if you guys don't care and I'm around I'll start a needed thread. However, if the winner of the previous game isn't around and then I lose don't anyone blame me!

Couple years back I tallied up everyone's thread records. Too lazy to look for it now. I'm 2-0 this year though.
