Kind of surprised that Acta's going to Perez after using Sipp for one hitter. Figured he'd change his mind and go with Smith.

I don't think anyone's overreacting, I'm pretty sure I heard that Perez has given up a run 7 out of 13 times coming into a non save situation, not for sure, but I've always argued that it's a mental thing, a closer isn't in the same frame of mind in a tie game.

This whole tie game business is in Chris Perez's head. Zero command.
FWIW, MLB Network is showing a live look-in of the Indians game. I'm sticking with Hammy, but if you want to watch, it's on MLBN.

Perez is awful in non-save situations. Why does he continue to be thrown in there?

I don't want to break my tv after he gives up a run or two... or three

Back to back nasty sliders. Played on Montero's aggressiveness. Great pitch sequence called by Santana.

No. We're out of lefties and SEA's lineup would roll over, so I imagine we'd see Pestano. Can't use Smith against all those lefties at the top of SEA's lineup.
Edit: Believe I just heard in the background that Smith is warming up.

Tigers lost again. Be great to pick up a win here and go 4 game sup with a tough Interleague schedule heading our way.

That 10th inning just didn't go as I planned....Brantley screwed that ball off Furbush, should not have pinch hit for Damon as Furbush was at the end of his rope and Damon would have taken him deep.
Can you imagine this weekend?? Johnny Damon, Shelley Duncan and Austin Kearns all at the same time. Aaron Cunningham is gonna feel quite inept with that trioka in the building.

Our pitchers do realize that Brendan Ryan is one of the league's worst everyday players, right? He's been on base 11 times in 5 games against us.

Why did Acta go to Smith? Stupid. Guy is terrible against LHBs. It shows AGAIN.
Smith's been better against LHB than Pestano this year, but Pestano's your guy. I think you have to go to him there, even in spite of the 2012 numbers.
